About the Author

Originally from Burkina Faso, West Africa, Salma Theus is a mother of Two (Jaiden and Travis). She lived in California for eight years before serving active-duty Army for 13 years 10 months. In the service, she was stationed in Germany (deployed to Afghanistan), Kentucky and Missouri. Educationally, she completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Psychology at Walden University in September 2014. In December 2008, she graduated with a Master of Science in Marital and Family Therapy, in California State University, Carson, CA. In June 2005, she graduated with a Bachelor of Art in Business Administration (minor International Business) at La Sierra University in Riverside CA. She currently works as an instructor at a local college, a licensed insurance agent, and a marital and family therapist/psychologist at a local clinic in the state of Missouri.
