This book was a "I can't put this book down" kinda read!! The only thing I didn't understand about this book was why it was not written in modern/current times. The story didn't really "fit in" to the 1880's! There was nothing in the book to remind you that was the time period they were in. But really a good story line and you couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next! End of the book left you wanting to "hear" more from these characters! Totally enjoyed!!

I love Kate/Billy. This book reminds me a bit of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. It's a great read and a good romance. Keep them coming Ruth!

I really enjoyed this book and it made me hold my breath a couple of times.
Someone commented that is it was hard to identify the timeline or period but if talks about outhouses, taking baths in the river and other didn't give it away I guess i should visit the country maybe there's places that still don't have indoor plumbing.
Will recommend, it's hard to put down.

I was disappointed becuase I usually love her work. The story is elementary, obvious, and drags on far too long. Not one of her better works.

Whatever happened to a THESAURUS and spell check. I was so put off by "alright" used in almost every paragraph that I couldn't pay attention to the lame story line. For her future stories, the WORDS are "All right". There are other words to replace her overused trite expressions...something seventh graders know.

This book was an easy read and i loved the plot line. I fell in love with the characters and read the book pretty fast. Totally worth the money!

It was funny, very good reading. I enjoyed that book.
A little bit long by boring actions but it made up by very funny conversation. I will read more of her.

Not well written. No depth to the characters, their thoughts or emotions. The story moves on, but the scenes are lame.

I REALLY enjoyed this book. I knew the characters would get together in the end, but the ending still surprised me. I like Ms. Nordin's writing and have enjoyed reading other books by her. You will enjoyed this book especially if you are in need of a love story!

Overview
