About the Author

La’Tonya Nicole Ford is a federal court strategist, legal author, and documentation advocate with over 19 years of experience in the investment, insurance, and legal strategy sectors. She is widely recognized for her sharp legal insight, grassroots litigation tactics, and commitment to empowering the self-represented, whistleblowers, and victims of systemic injustice.

She first rose to national attention as the original EEOC complainant in a high-profile case against Jackson National Life Insurance Company, which resulted in a $20.5 million settlement and involved over 25 Intervenor Plaintiffs across Colorado, Michigan, and Tennessee. After uncovering fraudulent salary data during the investigation, La’Tonya chose to reject all settlement offers and press forward when the EEOC withdrew from her case and federal judges removed two of her attorneys from the record. Relying solely on her own legal strategy and faith, she continued and drafted and submitted all her court filings, motions, and declarations—laying the foundation for her broader legal advocacy work.

Her efforts led to the creation of the Pro Se Powerhouse Legal Series, a 22-book collection designed to help self-represented litigants and everyday citizens challenge corporations, government agencies, and systemic legal abuse. Her writing is practical, accessible, and grounded in her lived experiences.

Prior to her legal advocacy, Ms. Ford served as a trusted financial professional for advisors at firms including Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, UBS, Edward Jones, and SunTrust. She developed income and retirement planning models and led seminars on topics such as Social Security Optimization and Managing Health Care Costs in Retirement. Her career spanned more than 17 states in roles including internal annuity wholesaling and regional vice presidency.

La’Tonya’s personal story includes facing FBI surveillance, workplace retaliation, discrimination, and gangstalking—challenges that only deepened her resolve to expose corporate fraud and fight for truth and accountability.

In addition to the Pro Se Powerhouse Legal Series, she is also the author of the Compensation Damages Series, which focuses on fraudulent pay practices and wage suppression in employment law. Her mission is rooted in truth-telling, transparency, and the belief that self-representation can be a powerful force for justice.
