Overview

How the PC agenda on college campuses is endangering millions of students

Radical social agendas have taken over campus health and counseling, and it's making students sick. Dr Anonymous should know: she's treated over 2000 students at a prestigious university, and seen first hand how the anything-goes, women-are-just like- men, “safer-sex” agenda harms our sons and daughters. After years of hesitation, she's speaking up.

In Unprotected you will learn:

• About an Ivy League university's health website that okays risky behaviors including S&M, “swinging”, and bestiality

• How campus health centers hound students to stop smoking, eat right, get enough sleep, and wear sunscreen, but tacitly approve of promiscuity, and whitewash the consequences of sexually transmitted infections

• How HIV education is distorted, causing hysteria among students who are at no risk for infection

• How campus counselors focus on sexual orientation, abuse, molestation, cigarettes and caffeine, but neglect to ask students about abortion

• How ideology-driven health services lead young women to believe they are just like men — and to pay a high price for it.

• How, despite strong evidence of significant health benefits of church attendance and faith in God, psychology remains anti-religion — an irrational, out-dated prejudice Dr Anonymous calls “theophobia”

Parents, educators, and health providers are all disturbed and mystified by the epidemic of sexually transmitted infections on our college campuses, as well as the rampant depression, suicidal behavior, eating disorders, and cutting. Dr Anonymous has seen it all. The solution, she contends, is not Zoloft or condoms. Instead, she urges her colleagues to stop feeding students platitudes about diet and exercise and misinformation about “protection”. What campus counselors and health providers must do, she argues, is tell uncomfortable, politically-incorrect truths, especially to young patients in their most vulnerable and confusing moments.

    reviewer and mom

I LOVE this book. Finally someone is honest enough to get real about what is happening to our young women. As the mother of 2 daughters and 2 boys I will certainly use this book to teach them about the dangers of risky behavior that only ends in heartbreak or worse. This is not just a moral issue, it is a health concern that affects us all.

    Present our daughters/granddaughters w/Truth

I love my grandsons and granddaughters deeply. I happened to catch an interview of the author on a women's tv program and was amazed with her candid presentation. I purchased the book from B & N, read it and have proceeded to pass it on to mom's and grandmom's as well as young women. It is such important information that we do not hear in a usual format of today. This is a must read for women to have a fulfilled sexual life. Would be helpful for our guys to read also!

    A reviewer

Ignorance and knee-jerk politically driven reactions to this subject, such as that demonstrated by the last reviewer typify the reason why the author chose to publish this anonymously. This is important for all young women to read. As Grossman says 'biology is sexist' and it is a travesty that we do not give our young women all the information that they need to protect themselves. This is not a morally or religiously driven argument - it is science. It is great that young women are taught about birth control and the importance of condoms, but most are unaware about other vital things - like the fact that they can be infected by HPV even if they use condoms 100% of the time. Education is power and Grossman's book is aimed at educating young women about something society has decided to ignore. As a current medical student, it is my hope that this book spearheads a discussion within the medical community as to how we can better protect young women from all that threatens their psychological and physical health.

    Scared

Did G.W. Bush's administration somehow fund this book? Who really wrote this? This is the same sort of self-centered preachiness, well-intended I'm sure, but based on the belief of the writer and not at all connected to the reality of our culture and teens and sex. (Just like the implementation of an absitance-ONLY program which only leaves people ingnorant, uneducated and unaware of how to safely have sex.) A person who's gonna have sex is gonna have sex and you can either help them be prepared, or be like my friend's pentacostal father who used to steal condoms from his son's pants or backpack whenever he found one, which eventually put his son in the position of having unprotected sex one night, resulting in a pregnant girlfriend at age 20. He did marry the girl but it was a miserable reason to get married to someone- not because you're ready but because you have no choice. They later bitterly divorced, having grown into totally different people my their mid-20's.

    Enlightened

This is a great book. It should be required reading in schools for grades 8 and higher. If young people had this kind of health information, they would practice healthier habits and make better choices in life. I am an adult and learned alot from this book. I thank the author for taking a chance and writing this book.
