About the Author

Richard Moore, freelance Designer. Richard doesn't mind relocating to other areas, if the need is there for an interesting project or job. He is very passionate about 3D modelling, level design, concept drawing, and web and graphic design. He especially likes developing three dimensional weapons & vehicles. He enjoys how the games industry keeps redefining itself every year and to keep pushing the envelope. Ever since he was a child Richard has grown up with gaming as a large part of his life and it is something he has a very strong passion for. He practiced game development from an early age and has always known that it is the only industry for him to be part of. He is an avid fan of most genres but particularly enjoys first and third person shooters, adventure and role playing games. He will always take any opportunity to meet as many different people from the game development community as possible and as a result he has attended the Games Grads career fair for one consecutive year, participated in the Game Republic 2009 student showcase in Sheffield and Platform 2010, Hull's first Digital and Gaming event where he won the award for best character and a cheque for 100. Currently, Richard is working as a Web Designer but it hasn't stopped him from achieving his goal as a games designer. Richard is currently on a placement working for Chameleon Business Interiors as a Web Designer and Developer redesigning their website and bringing it into the 21st century. He is also working freelance for two other companies, an industrial company called Tooltek Supplies, where he is maintaining their newly designed website and keeping it up to date and a hair salon called Kimberley's where he is regularly designing new ideas for the company. Set aside the web designing and you can see videos games never left him. Richard is currently working on three new video game titles. Two are his own game development projects and the third is a team-based project developing a game for the IPad and IPhone. He is also currently involved in Platform 2011, Hull's second video game expo where he will be a guest judge in the 24hr design competition and also helping fellow games designers with concept art in a careers workshop. Richard has had some impressive feedback from fellow designers and clients and is very much interested in starting up his own video game design company. He has the ideas, the drive and determination to put it together. 2011 is the start of something big for this video game
