Stunningly beautifulLady Evelyn Hume is pursued by London bachelors for her looks and fortune. Fewrecognize her extraordinary intelligence, until a most unusual encounter with apartially blind Earl.
Although Colin Livingswell has never seen Eve Hume, he knows more of her heartthan any of her admirers. The Earl is determined to show Eve with his words andactions he is worthy of her-but the villain stalking him endangers them both.
Will Colin trust Eve and her family with his dangerous secret in time to savehimself? Will Eve trust her heart to view him differently from all her othersuitors? For both of them, beauty truly must be in the eyes of the beholder.
Unseen Heiress is no cork-brained piece of Regency fluff. This story has a very modern feeling that does not diminish the historical ambiance. Eve is a veritable diamond of thefirst water who could easily cross the line into conceit but she is a genuinelyintelligent and extraordinarily beautiful young woman. She comes across as somuch more than the poor lonely rich girl. Colin is an outstanding hero. I lostmy heart to him almost immediately and with each word I grew even fonder ofhim. The secondary characters of this story added so much to the plot and thetone and the world the author created is one I want to become a frequentvisitor. If you are looking for a delightful break from the everyday this isthe short story for you.
