Overview

When Dr. Jack Graham was twenty years old, he got the phone call no one wants to receive. His father had been ruthlessly attacked, and it became clear to young Jack that invisible forces of evil were involved. He realized he needed to take the spiritual world more seriously, because the real battles we face in life are between the powers of good and evil...literally the armies of heaven and hell.

Through compelling stories, practical guidance, and biblical truth, Dr. Graham challenges popular opinions and persistent folklore about heaven and hell, good and evil, angels and Satan. You will come away from this book enlightened about the supernatural world and encouraged that God can provide protection, provision, and power for whatever lies ahead.

Each chapter includes questions for group discussion or individual reflection. Free online small-group curriculum is also available.

That is the very important theme of this timely book."—Pastor Mark Driscoll, founding and preaching pastor, Mars Hill Church, founder, Resurgence and co-founder, Acts 29

"Jack Graham is a man of God who understands the spirit world. Our battle isn't against people. It's against Satan and demonic spirits. Good, Biblical treatment of the subject.

I am enjoying the sound biblical treatment of the subject. The author speaks directly to an issue that has, to a large extent, been avoided in many SBC churches. It does not glorify or over emphasize the supernatural, but it directs the reader back to the Bible, our only true reference for the existence of these beings. A good and useful read.

It is time to understand just exactly what is going on and Pastor Graham is providing us the practical information that we need. The battle isn't ours. God will give us the victory! However, we do need to understand that we are standing on a battlefield and no matter where we go there are forces that are working for and against us. How the battle turns out depends on how we are dealing with this spiritual world. This is something we cannot ignore and hope that it will go away. Pastor Graham has done a magnificent job of presenting Biblical information about angels, satan, Heaven, hell and how we should be dealing with them. This is a book for everyone to read and would be great as gifts to our friends and family.
