A true international love affair from award-winning author Brian David Bruns. A visit to Transylvania started a three-continent romance, then into an entire life making a playground of all seven seas.
The Red Sea, the Black Sea, the Caribbean, the Aegean... a head-spinning list of rendezvous. Luxury liners were their vehicle, with ship life like no other. The awesome power of the big ships to cross oceans of cultures kept bringing them together... and pulling them apart. But it was a secret past that threatened to sink them.
Vastly entertaining and expansive, hilarious and true, feel-good Mr. Brown shows us that the stuff of legendary romance lies in us all, if we but have the courage to reach for it.

Brian's Cruise Confidential book series-by the only American in the history of Carnival Cruise Lines to endure a full contract in the ships' restaurants-earned his being featured in ABC's 20/20 special edition, the aptly-named "Cruise Ship Confidential," seen by 7.61 million viewers.
When not writing Brian strives for adventure. He has traveled to 50 nations, biked the 500 miles across his native state of Iowa, bagged a bunch of America's most prominent peaks, and run some decidedly off-the-wall marathons. His latest passion is for the mayhem of obstacle-filled mud runs. By far the best, however, is hiking with his wife of five years, Aurelia.

After reading Cruise Confidential I had to keep going with the series. I didn't realize that it started before Cruise Confidential so it was very interesting to see what led up to that. I also enjoyed the small similarities when I could remember back to the first book. This book let us see not only what ship life is about, but the struggles when you are no longer on ships and looking for a new one. The emotions and feelings added to this book that weren't really present in the first one gave it a little bit extra. Brian is just a down to earth, intelligent and worldly "character" to us that has taken us all on an adventure in this one. It did not disappoint and I cannot wait to read 'Ship for Brains'!
Unsinkable Mr. Brown, by Brian David Bruns, is the third book in this particular series. I read this without reading the other two, as I didn't not realize that it was a part of a series, and was able to understand what was going on without any real confusion. It follows a man name Brian, who basically gives up everything to follow the love of his life. Brian met Bianca on the cruise ship she works on. Brian joins the crew on the cruise ship to follow Bianca, not realizing the hours and work that goes into these crews. He overcomes everything thrown his way and is motivated by his love and determination to be with Bianca. I felt that the characters were well described and that their stories were very relatable. I enjoyed the description of all the different places that are visited within the story as well! I found the book pretty funny, and honestly enjoyed the romantic story within. I would recommend this book to anyone as I found it very lighthearted as well as silly, an easy read! I look forward to reading the rest of the series!
A true love story! How many men would take a vacation and travel thousands of miles to another country to visit a woman he only knew for three days? How many men would give up their job to begin a new life on a cruise ship? That’s what Brian Brown did. Bianca lives in Romania but works on a cruise ship where life is hard work and long hours. Brian fell in love with her and was willing to give up everything to be with her. Unfortunately for him, things don’t always go as planned, and he could never have imagined how hard it would be to work on a cruise ship. But true love conquers all, and through every obstacle thrown at him, Brian was determined to be with Bianca. Cruise ship after cruise ship, he kept on going, waiting for the time when they could be together for more than just their vacation time. Excellent descriptions of numerous places around the world, you can imagine being there with them. Great cast of characters of all sorts, family, friends, co-workers and those determined to make life difficult. You’ll be rooting for Brian all throughout the story. But you’ll need to read it yourself to see if love conquers all and they finally end up together or not.
Unsinkable Mister Brown is the third book in it's series, but it isn't necessarily important to the story line that you read the two books prior to this one. This story dives right into (no pun intended) the harrowing life of those working in the cruise ship industry. Brian David Bruns travels through many seas with his love, Bianca, at his side. They experience so many twists and turns in their relationship that you will be gripping your book just to find out what happens next. The author mixes so many perfect descriptive words for the characters and their surroundings, you can almost smell the ocean as you turn the pages.
Although this was the third entry in the series, I did not feel confused. A definite plus, if you ever like to read series out of order for whatever reason. Apparently in previous books the lead character, Brian, worked on a cruise ship and told stories of his journeys and hardships that occurred there. For this book he visits Romania for a lovely lady, with little knowledge of the customs or language of the people there. That's a recipe for good times if I ever heard it! The book is hilarious at times, such as Brian meeting the Pops and having meals with them in their tiny house and getting used to their unfamiliar customs (like trying to force his Western-large feet into teeny, tiny slippers). There is a lot of humor in the descriptions of the surroundings and people, and I kept turning the page just to read more. Whether you like or dislike the people Brian meets on his travels, they are rendered in realistic ways so that I could see these things happening. For those who have traveled and can relate, or those who have never traveled but are interested, this is a great book. Good humor, descriptive, with some romance to top it off. As another plus the story was well formatted for Kindle reading. It seems like lately there have been a lot of formatting errors in Kindle books, maybe due to a lack of editing, but I am glad this wonderful tales was readable!
this one was my favorite!! it was very exciting; i couldnt put this book down. i really felt for brian and bianca.
