A MUST READ! HIGHLANDERS,SCOTTISH LEGENDS,MAGIC,ROMANCE AND LOVE WHAT MORE COULD A GIRL WANT!! UNTAMED HIGHLANER BY DONNA GRANT!!

UNTAMED HIGHLANDER by Donna Grant is an exciting historical romance/paranormal set in 1603 Scotland. It is the fourth in "The Dark Sword" series, but can be read as a stand alone. Book One," Dangerous Highlander,Book Two,"Forbidden Highlander",Book Three, "Wicked Highlander". These are all must reads that melds paranormal with the Scottish Highlander historical life. This is the story of Hayden,a highland warrior with the archaic god that gives him power and immeasurable strength along with other supernatural things. And the story of Isla, who was Druid born, magic blessed but held captive by the evil she devil,Deidre. While Isla is one of the deadest forces of darkness, she has been forced to use her power for evil.Taking captive by Hayden after finding her at Cairn Toul Mountain, near death,he takes her back to the MacLeod Castle. While Hayden believe Isla is his enemy for she has killed many of their kind,he soon learns she is his destiny.Isla asks the MacLeod brothers for their promise of her death if and when the dreaded Deidre returns to claim her mind again.Isla fears she is not strong enough to ward off Deidre's attempts to regain her mind and soul. But Hayden finds he is attracted to Isla and soon learns that she is not is enemy but his destiny and will do whatever it takes to protect her against Deidre. This is a story of not only magic, history, legends, romance,Scottish highlanders, warriors but also of loyalty, sacrifice, devotion, courage, and of course some sweet sensuality. For all of these Highlander warriors ooze of sex appeal, strength, honor, who are sworn to fight for not only victory but also to battle for love and accept their fates. This is a fast paced, action packed, full of magic, love, with sensuality. All paranormal, historical romance,Scottish Highlanders, readers will be eagerly awaiting the next "Dark Sword" book. I so adore this series of highlanders with their sensuality, strength, loyalty and their God within.A MUST READ! Highly Recommended

Donna Grant continues her highly sensual Dark Sword Novels with Hayden Campbell's story. Searching amid the destruction of Cairn Toul, where he and hundreds of Warriors and druids had been held prisoner, Hayden finds a lone survivor. The need to save and defend the beautiful woman consumes and drives him. Then he discovers she is a drough, a member of the sect of evil druids responsible for murdering his family. Betrayal and fury replace his protective urges, but he's unable to ignore the connection he feels towards her. He's sworn vengeance against all droughs but can't bring himself to follow through when she asks him to take her head. For centuries, Isla was forced to serve Deirdre. She used her magic for the drough queen's evil purposes to save the lives of her sister and niece. Isla knows, through a magical link, that the queen wasn't destroyed with her mountain fortress. Isla fears her presence will draw the evil, and the only way to sever the connection is for her to die. Hayden's animosity toward her kind makes him the perfect candidate to kill her when Deirdre's magic inevitably breaks through. Compelled to remain close, their attraction grows and they begin to hope there's another way to break the link that doesn't require Isla's death. But if Hayden finds out all her secrets, Isla fears he'll have no trouble destroying her. The stories get better with every book. Dark, sexy and filled with men in kilts-what's not to love!

Kirby and the Dark Phoenix: Chapter 1

A creature, sealed in a block of semi-transparent ruby, stood. It was standing on a pedestal of obsidian, engraved with an upside-down star. Suddenly, the block cracked. It is small, at first, then gradually grew larger and larger, until it bursted. The creature came out. It savored its newfound freedom before, screeching, it flew off.<p>***<p>A yellow Waddle-Dee ran to the field where Kirby was eating an apple, enjoying the beautiful day. It was Kirby's friend he had made after he defeated Magolor. Her name was Epic, and she was exiled from King Dedede's castlegrounds. "Kirby, the Star Rod is gone!" Kirby looked up. It was too soon for action after the recent adventure. "I bet we can guess who the culprit was!" Kirby nodded. King Dedede, his rival. But why? He had helped Kirby in his last adventure. Nevertheless, he must recover the Star Rod. He and Epic ran to Dedede's Castle.<p>"So what brings you here?" Said the penguin monarch. Epic, as she was banished, could not enter the castle, so Kirby had to communicate with gestures. He gestured to show that he wanted the Star Rod back. Dedede frowned as he watched Kirby drew a verticle line in the air and attempted to make a star. "Kirby, I know I had stolen the Star Rod a couple of times, but I'm as shocked as you are. One of my servants went there this morning and saw that the Star Rod wasn't there!" A voice screeched "That was because I took it and hid it!"<p>((How is that for a cliffhanger? Also, sorry if I got the fact wrong that King Dedede is one of Kirby's rivals.))

    Meh

Found this one disappointing Hayden continually slights Isla and she repeatedly gives into him when she is angry. Caught myself skimming the book. Not the best in the series.

    ******WARNING CONTAINS SPOILERS*******

Begun reading Untamed Highlander the same day as I finished Wicked Highlander... I could not stop myself! This book kept me on the edge of my seat from the very beginning. Hayden Campbell and Isla, the From Hayden saving Isla on Cairn Toul all the way [ to them falling in love ] at the end. Hayden, having his entire family killed by a drough and his vow to find and kill the drough that did it did not warm up to Isla very easily at all. [ And then to find out that even though they thought Dierdre was dead and now learn she's not! ] My heart hit my stomach!! I was so afraid that Hayden's pride was going to get the best of him. [ I was VERY surprised to learn that Isla WAS the drough that had killed Hayden's family. I cried, thinking that Hayden might change his mind about his feelings... ()] However, Donna has not disappointed me at all here! She keeps on surprising me at every swipe of my Kindle. I have already jumped into Shadow Highlander and am excitedly wanting to see where this series takes us to! [ I really am hoping that Dierdre gets killed soon.... but then I am hoping that her death doesn't make things worse for these men.. ] Also, wondering if we are going to get to see Marcail's baby in these series' or are they going to fade out...? so many questions...

    Great story line.

This series is well written and will hold your attention. From the first book, I have enjoyed reading about the brothers, their lives and those who come into their lives to help, love or hinder. If you like love, adventure and well written stories, you will enjoy this series.

I will read ANYTHING that she writes!!!

I absolutey LOVE Donna Grant! All of her books are fun and exciting and keep you turning the pages! This book is no different. I have already read everything she has written to date and I have never been disappointed. Anxiously waiting for 2012 and the release of her next book!

Oscar Wilde Said "if a book isn't worth re-reading, then it's not worth reading the first time" (I am sure I am para-phrasing) And all of Donna Grant's books are worth re-reading!
