Josie and Daniel's story was well written and very emotional. Yes, Josie did come off as whiny, selfish and disconnected but, you might too if you went through what Josie went through all her life before Daniel. 319 pages

it was so hard to like Josie. I still didn't like her when the book ended. So often I wanted Daniel to be rid of her. Josie had Zero likeable qualities. The native American names were just sad. The way Long Belly spoke was irratating.

I liked it.! Really quirky characters that have room to grow. Original story line. Some surprises in the plot. Well written. Highly recommend!!

Not a bad read. Liked Daniel and Sissy, two of the main characters. I understood Josie but thought her stubborness was over the top. Eventually though, as the story continued, everything sorted out.

I really enjoyed this book. It has romance with a sense of humor. Couldn't put it down. A strong female lead, too, which is always good.

She was so whiny I had a really hard time. Just didn't appeal well for the era it was supposed to be. Had to skip thru a lot of blah to get to the end.

Started out alil slow. A girl gets caught by her mean step father sneaking her first kiss and gets thrown out in a brothel. Gets bought by and indian with her closest coworker, to care for his "brother". Shes tired of cleaning up after her 15 brothers and wants no part playing nurse or housewife. Shes a young woman with dreams that women werent suposed to have in that time. But its was hers anyway. Through more events she finslly discovers who she is. Heartwrenching at times, but a great story of love and life! 300+ pgs

Josie is as independent as they come. Maybe being the only girl in a family of 14 boys can do that to ya. She has certain ideas about male/ female relationship that lead her from one caged situation to another. Danial is a half breed Cheyeene agent that has an egor to please cheyeene brother that thinks that bringing Josie as a gift to him is a great idea. Can Josie and Daniel survive that winter in a small cabin in the coldest winter and find in each other what is missing? Plus throw in a couple of adorable 4 year old twins Highly recommend

Overall, it was good story. First time, I liked the hero more than heroine. Twins. Daniel deserved better!

This is book 1 of the series. I did not like the female lead. The story was not believable that she could cower the others like she did. The book is about 900 pages. The romance was okay. I was so glad when i finished. I will not be reading anymore of this wild women series.

Did not like the female lead and redemption came so late it didn't seem genuine. Story dragged on and on and language didn't match the setting. I contemplated stopping so many times only to be disappointed that I actually finished it because it did not improve.
