## After reading "until July", I wasn't sure if I wanted to continue with this series. Wes was such an ass in that book and July a complete doormat. But I took a chance because I adored "Until Nico" and "Until November". This one was good, but not great. At least Jax wasn't a jerk. He was hot with a capital T. Ellie was nice but once again a tad of a pushover. I like my heroines strong, capable, and fun-loving. I hope we get a story for Sage because that set up was so interesting. I will most likely read again.

Since she announced when this book was coming out I've been waiting, reading the little snippets on Facebook just made it harder. But the wait is over and the book is AMAZING! Another hot hit for Aurora Rose Reynolds. Jax and Ellie are amazing characters, it was even nice to get some closure on Jules, Jax's birth mom. Now I just have to wait, a little impatiently, for June's book and Sage's book.

Aurora Rose Reynolds hits it out of the park again! Capturing my attention from page one, Until Jax is the perfect blend of innocence, possessiveness, endangerment, with infinite possibilities of love. The connection between Ellie and Jax is immediate! BOOM!...the Mayson tradition takes effect again when Jax first lays eyes on Ellie. Jax is captivated, and will do anything to protect Ellie and her daughter from anyone and anything! Being known as a heartbreaker, Jax is hoping Ellie will see past his history with woman, and give them a chance to be a family. Ellie is a strong, intelligent, and responsible young woman, who has been a single mom to her deceased brother's daughter, Hope. Only having herself to depend on and having just escaped a horrific situation, can Ellie learn to trust a man she just met, with her and Hope's safety?...Can she trust a man she is quickly falling for to not break her heart, and have the confidence to ask for help? Until Jax is the perfect beginning to Aurora's new Until Him Series! Not familiar with her books? Start from the very beginning with Until November. You will not be disappointed! A passionate and riveting, 5+ star MUST READ! Can't wait for more!

This book begins with a slight overlap to the ending of Until July where we first meet Ellie Anthony. Jax is the next generation of alpha-Maysons, and holy-hotness, he was ah-mazing! With as many books that have been in the Until series for Ms. Reynolds, I'm once again impressed that this latest addition was still a page-turner and I could not put it down! As with the other Mayson men, Jax was struck with the "BOOM" the moment he lays eyes on Ellie, but Ellie comes with a daughter, so Jax bides his time as the gentleman who waits for Ellie to realize that they are going to be together. Ellie's daughter Hope who will steal your heart the moment you are introduced to her in this book. She was probably my favorite child character ever in a book, and her interactions with Jax throughout the book added to her charm and endeared Jax to me even more as one of the hottest book heroes I've read in a long time! This book had everything: angst, passion, humor, suspense, intrigue. It was a fast read because it was un-put-down-able! You're on pins and needles all the way until the end...first with seeing how Jax and Ellie's relationship evolves, but then solving the mystery surrounding Ellie's abduction (no spoiler here since the book begins with her in the hospital after being rescued from the abduction). The author also gives us a glimpse at stories to come with June & Evan, Sage & Kim, and Harlen & Avalee. I'm looking forward to everything and can't get enough of these characters. This book can be enjoyed as a stand-alone, but I recommend reading Until Lilly and Until July (in that order) to get a better background to the characters in this book.

Overall Rating: 4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★☆ The Mayson men know when they have met their one…they feel the BOOM! Aurora Rose Reynolds is a master at creating stories that leave the reader with a feeling of awe! In Until Jax, she continues a thread that was introduced at the end of her previous book, Until July. Jax is part of the team that rescues his cousin, July from a human trafficking ring. The woman that escapes with July is his BOOM and he knows it from the moment he sees her walking out of the woods with his cousin. This is Elle and Jax’s story. Not an easy story to read at times, but a story that does find a HEA for the couple. Betrayal, abuse and hopelessness are only a few of the things that Elle Anthony finds herself submerged in! Sold by her mother to a human trafficking ring, beaten and alone she does not know where to turn, until Jax. He is everything a woman could ever want and more! The way he looks at her and wants to protect her and her daughter. Elle has never believed in fate or love at first sight, but maybe there is something to it! Can she take a chance and trust Jax? For the first time Jax feels content. He has Elle and her daughter living in his house, where he can take care of and protect them from those that would harm them. Jax knows this is his family and will do anything to make it permanent! All he needs to do is persuade Elle to give him a chance and overcome her objections. Once again I am amazed by the remarkable insight Ms. Reynolds can convey through her stories. Her characters feel like they are your friends and family. Emotion filled action, feel good relationships with amazing sensual encounters flow throughout this incredible novel. It is a suspense filled romance that you will want to add to you library of must reads! Hero: Jax Mayson 4.5 stars Heroine: Elle Anthony 4.5 stars Steam: 4.5 stars Plot: 4.5 stars Cliffhanger: No

I am probably repeating myself but I love Aurora Rose Reynolds and her writing, especially the Until Series. So for me, it's like Christmas when a book connected to this series comes out :D I love that Aurora Rose Reynolds decided to wrote the Until Her and Until Him series and I am impatiently waiting for each one of the books to come out :) So when I got my hands on Until Jax I was extremely happy and I can honestly say that I loved the story. It pretty much starts where Until July ends but the story is focused on Jax and Ellie. It is intriguing and entertaining with quite a few funny scenes mixed with romantic, tender and purely HOT ones. And when you add to that a healthy dose of danger and suspense, the book becomes a great page turner ;) Jax and Ellie are amazing characters. I loved getting to know them and quite enjoyed reading how their relationship develops. Jax is the typical dominant alpha male you will find in Aurora Rose Reynolds' books. He is protective of the people he loves and is ready to give his life for the woman of his heart. And once he falls, he falls hard and for life. And that's exactly what happens when he meets Ellie and her daughter Hope. They both become part of him and he simply can't imagine his Life without them. Ellie is also an incredible and interesting character. In the beginning she is scared out of her mind and jumps at every noise around her. Which considering what she went through, is quite understandable. But Jax manages to soothe the fear in her eyes and help her draw from her inner strength to become the amazing woman she was always meant to be. In a few words, this is an amazing read that you definitely need to #oneclick. Especially if you are in love with Aurora Rose Reynolds' writing as I am. I can guarantee that Jax and Ellie will become two of your favorite characters :) As a bonus, you will get to hang out with some of the characters from the Until Series and with July and Wes :) And of course you will get introduced to the main characters for the following books in the Until Her and Until Him series :). I personally can't wait for them to come out :) This review was originally posted at Living In Our Own Story Book Blog. I received an ARC of the book in exchange of an honest review.

Ellie and Jax is beautiful love story about finding love where you least expect it
TheAvidBookNerd More than 1 year ago
The book starts at a sad moment, with Ellie waking up in the hospital after having been rescued from a sex trafficker. Her mother had sold Ellie to fund her drug habit. Hurt, confused and scared Ellie tries to explain she needs to get to her daughter. Hope was left with her aunt and it’s not a good house to be in. The Mayson family surrounds her and promises to help Ellie get away from her druggie mom and get her daughter to a safe place. The Mayson who seems to be leading the charge to protect Ellie is Jax. Jax recognizes his BOOM when he feels it – and Ellie has set off all sorts of explosions within him. She’s sweet, loving and in need of his protection. Jax steps up to the plate big time when he learns Ellis has a daughter but he even falls for her. Ellie and Hope move in with Jax while he hunts for the trafficker who got away. The Mayson family adopts Ellie and Hope as their own in a completely adorable way. But Ellie is unused to people being so welcoming or giving and can’t stop herself from doubting their intentions. Her run-ins with past flames of his don’t help to settle her mind either. But Jax is determined not to lose his forever. I liked this book. I couldn’t push myself to “love” because some aspects of the plot didn’t hit for me. First, Ellie wasn’t the heroine I imagined going in. I just couldn’t believe her as someone who was strong enough to move past being abducted by sex traffickers without a single instance of PTSD. And I also had a hard time with her not being more resistant to the idea of moving in with complete strangers with her kid if she’s so used to the hard life in the projects. Jax I loved. He was a Mayson male through and through. Bossy, protective and sexy as all get out, Jax devoted himself to Ellie and Hope and I loved every minute of it. So while a little unbelievable in some parts, I liked this book and look forward to more from the Mayson clan. Aurora gave us a good glimpse of future couples within “Until Jax” and it looks very promising.

First off, I love series books so when I found that Until was apart of a series I was excited. The first book I read was Until Nico because it was in a romance bundle, so I have read them out of order. Ms. Reynolds, how many kidnappings can happen in one family? And the timelines are off, I noticed that the author doesn't commit to ages, but Jax was about 21 in the epilogue in Until Nico, Sage was 6, there's no way that they would work together, because in this book Jax isn't even 30 yet. Yes, as an avid reader these things bug me. One of the things I enjoy most about series is that you see the progression of characters from previous books, this one fell flat of character interaction for me. And it could be that the author has too many characters and not enough storylines. We get it, for every Mayson there is a Boom. For every Boom you will be beaten, kidnapped or arrested, and drink coffee. Alright, already.

This was another fantastic spin-off to the Until series. Technically it’s a stand-alone but you’ll get a better experience if you read the other books first (especially Until Lily and Until July). This book was funny, sweet, and hot. The characters were engaging and likeable. The story kept me glued to my tablet so I ended up reading the whole book in one sitting. Jax and Ellie had awesome chemistry. Jax new immediately that Ellie was his “Boom” but of course Ellie needed some convincing. Jax is seriously hot, protective, and sweet. I know some people don’t like the “insta-love” in stories like Jax experiences but I liked it. Ellie on the other hand, has to be coaxed and pursued by Jax. Her and her daughter (Hope) have been through a lot and she’s not interested in anything at first. Of course Jax wears her down and what blossoms between them is nothing short of wonderful. Ellie is a fighter and strong willed but she’s also nice. I also loved how Jax interacted with Hope. It was so easy to get lost in the story of these two and I loved getting totally immersed in their world. This story line is a light easy read which was a nice reprieve for me since I tend to read a lot of dark and/or emotionally heavy books these days. Now don’t get me wrong, there was definitely emotion but the book overall has a lighter feel and I absolutely loved it. The chemistry between the characters is undeniable and I loved the set up for future books. I can’t wait for more in this series. 5 out of 5 stars!
