All Music Guide - Jared Johnson
Until My Heart Caves In turned out to be the final studio album by one of the longest-tenured contemporary Christian bands. Whether or not they knew the end was coming remains unclear, but a sense of finality, as well as the band's trademark resilience, could be interpreted in lyrics from "Clap Your Hands" and the title track. Indeed, the line "I can't stop until my body drops" from the opener was either foreshadowing of their hanging up the towel or sheer irony after the news surfaced in 2006 that lead vocalist Mark Stuart's "ongoing vocal challenges" were a key factor in announcing their farewell tour. Sonically, producer Jay Joyce kept an edgy, modern rock feel to this one, steering clear of the funk, rap and hip-hop that had graced previous efforts. "King" and "Starting Over" were hits, and both appeared on the band's best-of collection Adios a year later. "Light of the Sun" had a more sustained feel à la Delirious. It's hard to say where the band would have gone after Heart and its 2003 predecessor Worldwide, but it would be tough to argue that this final output allowed them to go out on top. The only misgiving might be a lack of clever, bouncy pop gems like "Big House" and "Get Down" that powered the band up the charts during the late '90s and early 2000s.

Until My Heart Caves In Rocks!!

Audio A's latest cd is the band's best project yet. Powerful lyrics and passionate music blend together nicely to produce 11 awesome songs. The songs are filled with rock melodies and Mark and Tyler both provide strong vocals. This is one of the best cds that has come out this year. Everybody needs to listen to it!

    The beauty of UMHCI

Five stars because it really is outstanding. Audio A just keeps cranking out CDs year after year, and they only get better! I have this feeling that their *new* song "King" will take the Church by storm. My favorite track is the title song...it's just beautiful.

    What went wrong

I have loved Audio Adrenaline for quite a while now. I have every CD except live bootleg. Something was very different about this CD and it took me a while to figure it out. For the first time Audio A coupled with a mainstream producer. The producer obviously didn't take into account where Audio A's heart was at while creating this CD. I have never heard an Audio A CD that you couldn't hear the passion in every word they sing until now. I just don't feel the usual I've-poured-my-heart-into-this music that you so often hear from Audio A. This music seems much to secular for the type of message Audio A tries to get across.

    Awesome Uplifting Experience!

Until My Heart Caves In gives you an incredible feeling of excitement which makes you want to run out and tell the world to listen. It definately "Lifts You Up" by letting know about forgiveness in Starting Over and just plain Feel Good music with Clap Your Hands. Cannot wait to see these guys in concert. Oh Yeah, instructions.....Play Loud!

    Highly Recommend!

OK, some of you have been lamenting the loss of great bands and/pr songwriters. Well, snap out of it! This will reinstill a new found faith in the lost art again. Audio A's newest album is full of heartfelt love, emotion, and pure energy. They have a heart that is dying to overflow out of their mouth and it is coming! Buy this album.

    Audio Adrenaline Rocks!

In all of the years that I have been an AA fan, I've never heard anything as awesome as this new album. Yes, their music has always been good, but nothing quite like this. I'm sure that, once you hear it, you wont be able to turn off that dial. This is truly what we have all been waiting for, a truly rock awesome album from AA are favorite top band.

    Audio A Junkies

Audio A keeps on rolling! The songs are powerful and thought provoking. Tyler Burkham's really coming into his own with this band both lyrically and musically. He's a heck of a guitarist and a singer. While certainly Mark Stuart will ALWAYS be the voice of Audio A, it's great to see them play to Tyler's strengths. In many other bands I'm sure there would be ego battles, but Mark really seems to have it together and understands the "team" aspect of being in a band (plus he seems like a heck of a guy..check out his Hands and Feet projectonline at handsandfeetproject.org). The production by Jay Joyce really stands out. He does a great job of capturing the excitement and chemistry of Audio A's live sound- and he brings out the playing of bassist Will McGinness and drummer Ben Cissell as well. All in all, a very solid album from a very solid group. If you're into bands like U2, you should pick this up. It's great music with a positive message. It's nice to be able to crank this up in the car with my kids and not worry about the lyrics!
