I loved the book and thought it a beautiful rendering of the connection humanity shares, or should share. I get really ticked off by stupidity so...I felt the need to post. I don't like pointing out obvious flaws in peoples logic, and I know posting non-reviews is frowned upon but...If you are so idiotically inclined as to think that artistic nudity is pornographic and offensive, you are either blocked off from any artistic feelings or you were raised in a bubble. Furthermore, if this was so vile a travesty, would so many think this book a beauty and a wonder? would the publisher's've let it pass and become a selling book? No, I don't think so. Nudity can be beautiful. So please, keep your uncultured theories to yourself, I don't want to hear them, and I'm almost entirely positive that other people don't want to hear them either.

The imagary is incredible. I bought this for my daughter when she was pregnant, and this is now my Grandson's favorite book. He is now 2 1/2 and he is still in awe at the photographs. Never before have I looked through a book and felt the emotion of these photographs. I purchased a second book to keep at my house so my grandson and I can enjoy it, no matter whose house we are at. You won't ever regret purchasing this book.

Its a book if without a genre under phtotgraphy, will be the smiling bible for all ages. It blows fresh zest of childhood to you right from the cover page. I think it gives me a personal trip of mind wondering if my folks have actually dressed me up for some silly occasion and wish that they had a camera in hand to remind me of those sweet silly moments. This is what Anne does best. She delivers those unforgetable moments of nurturing innocence, be it if you're a parent, or if you were at least once a baby yourself. These kids will have so much to say in twenty years or so. No doubt the best stories to tell their children! It's a keeper! Whatever colored the baby you have, Anne makes you relise he or she is a star.

The hardcover version of this book deserves more than five stars. It is the most enjoyable and rewarding book of baby photographs that it has been my pleasure to view and hug. I vastly prefer it to the paperback version. The book has lots of modestly done baby nudity, and a little partial adult female nudity that is totally tame and artistic. One of the pleasures of this book is that the images are HUGE! In some cases (such as with preemies), the babies are almost life size. The reproduction quality and paper are outstanding, so you can almost feel like you are present with these sleeping, mewling, cuddling, delightful little creatures! I recently reviewed Ms. Geddes's Black-and-White: Photofolio. Until Now overcomes the limitations that I found in that wonderful work. There are many more images here (113), the size and reproduction are better here, and Ms. Geddes has provided interesting notes about the origins of each photograph. The book begins with a nice quotation from Pablo Casals about the potential that is represented by each new life. The images connect the babies to nature (appearing as part of fruits and vegetables, masquerading as insects and animals, and overwhelmed with flowers) and to other babies and people. Many of the images also play with the thought that babies are angelic. Beyond that, there is a strong message of the connection that all humans have with one another. If you are like me, you won't fall in love with all of these photographs. Sometimes sleeping babies aren't exactly the right models for the compositions Ms. Geddes has designed. On the other hand, sleeping babies are perfect in many images here, such as the baby lying upside down on a woman's abdomen. But almost all of the images of babies and children who are awake are amazingly good. How does she do it? A few of the images where the babies are extremely small seemed a bit contrived to me, but they are technically very well done. My only complaint about the book is that a few of the images on two pages are marred by the center crease, and should have been reproduced differently. Here are some of my many favorites in this volume: Zac & Georgina 1991; Woodland Fairy 1995; Phillip & Arin 1993; Eddie with Scott & Sean 1993; Cabbage Kids 1991; Caleb (head version) 1997; India 1992; C.J. 1996; Ruby 1994; Zac 1992; Rebecca 1991; Christopher 1995; Four Angels 1996; Peony Angel 1995; Trent & Joel 1992; Aleesha & Jessie 1992; Crocodile Tears 1990; Linda & Ben 1994; Aunty Biddy's Face 1996; Boys & Doves 1993; Kieran & Abigail as Angels; and Jim, Flora & Pearl. I also suggest that you think about how you could create your own imaginative versions of these images with your own children and grandchildren. Imagine what a great gift of enhanced self-image that could be for the child in the future. Rather than wanting to hide her or his baby picture (like those nude shots on the rug), the child can draw upon the photograph as a source of self-image and strength. I have this book and it is great. Ann Gedds has a great eye for photography! She really knows babies and how to get them to work with the camera. I would recomend this book to anyone who loves babies and what there all about.

When I first looked through this book it brought tear to my eyes. The pictures are breathtaking. Anne Geddes has a wonderful imagination and a gift for photography. These pictures celebrate babies and there innocense. The pictures are mostly consisting of newborns, and for those of you who have children, it will bring you back to those first few weeks and make you remember how precious life is. This would make a great baby shower gift!

To capture the pure innocence and beaty of this earth, discover this book by Anne Geddes. The babies and props combined together can be described as simply adorable.

Anne Geddes' latest book is far more than a collection of adorable babies! These are precious babies of ALL colors! And they are often cradled in tender, virile arms. I thank Ms. Geddes for helping us to break down racial and sexist barriers in a most delightful and appealing way!

If anyone loves to look at pictures of absolutly adorible babies, this is the book for you. Anne uses her wonderful iminigation to fill up a room of ohhhh and ahhhh's Not to mention (How cute is that Baby?) I heard that from my girlfriend (who is in love with babies)every time she turned a page. Deffinate Suggestion!

I see no reason to flaunt the nudity of babies and call it 'cute.' It's child pornography ad exploitation. To regard as 'cute' the parts of us that we choose to keep hidden sets a double standard; One which should not be tolerated. Our society is always frothing at the mouth to prevent pornography from reaching minors and pornography in general is generally regarded as base and loathsome. Yet, for some reason we set a double standard for babies. This is insane.
