I loved the excitement and edge of your seat action which seemed quite realistic and gave this story an immediacy that was different from the others. The writing was crisp and I could feel the excitement and danger in the air and all around the protagonists and their team. This is another excellent story from the pen of Josh Lanyon."

Josh Lanyon winds up this anthology with an adrenaline rush of a read. Until We Meet Once More mixes flashbacks of Vic and Sean's past relationship with their present-day fight for survival in Afghanistan. I absolutely loved seeing Vic and SeanĂs days at the Naval Academy. The sweetness and sexiness of their time together before their relationship falls apart is vital to their present day connection and to understanding each man. Also key to learning about them is the reasons behind their
Reviewer for
"This is a well written, fast paced and exciting story. Aside from the flashbacks the entire story takes place in a very short amount of time so there is no real character growth but even so I was totally engaged in Vic's story. The climactic ending when Vic and Sean are running for their lives and the last scene where they admit their feelings for each other were riveting. This story was a great way to finish of this anthology."
Reviewer at
"I'm not normally a fan of the lengthy flashback, but in this case the flashbacks worked well as they were an important part of the structure of the story. The present day story was a breathtakingly dangerous operation which had me on the edge of my seat as I wondered whether Vic would be able to save Sean. There was a great sense of pathos as Vic realised that he might actually lose the man he fell in love with all those years ago and stupidly let go. The flashbacks showed the progression in th

I love Josh Lanyon stories, but the format of this e-book on the Nook is absolutely terrible! It is pratctically unreadable. the entire text is grouped in the middle of the screen and no amount of manipulating the text or spacing has any effect what so ever. It appears to be another case of shoddy editing destroying what could have been a great story.

    Short story, long on emotion

Best friends and lovers in their Naval Academy days, Vic and Sean ultimately went their separate ways - Vic to the Rangers, Sean to the Navy SEALs. When Sean's mission in Afghanistan goes south, Vic gets the word that his team is up to ride cavalry - and he's determined to see Sean back safe and in one piece.

This short story is originally part of an anthology called "Because of the Brave." It's beautifully written and more than a little poignant to anyone with a military connection. Sometimes life offers you a second chance...

One note - the formatting came across to my Nook pretty weird, but read it any way. It's worth it.
