THIS WAS A VERY GOOD STORY......... Because there was no descriptive overview I did not know what to expect but i
purchased it anyway. The main characters were very well written, Conor O'Neil and Miranda Beckman. I was immediately drawn into Miranda's
life starting with her teenage years and moving forward. Conor was something else, real, complicated, with problems of his own that unvail themselves throughout
the story. Initally he is bullied into this case by his superior. Miranda's stepfather is up for a political promotion as an Ambassador. Her
mother whom she hadn't seen in eight years receives a mysterious note and Conor has to try to figure out who sent it and why. The trail leads him to Paris
and Miranda where we eventually learn what happened in her earlier life that made her into whom she is today. Someone is out to kill he
r and her mother holds the key. The story keeps you guessing until the end. The plot is completely unexpected filled with deception
and lies.  Most importantly will Conor's obsession with Miranda get in the way of him doing his job? And can he figure out the clues in time to save her?
