The album's centerpiece is a gorgeous love song titled "I Know You by Heart," which she sings in duet with Benny Mardones who had a hit back in the '80s with "Into the Night", but other highlight tracks include a subtly cynical rewrite of the Beatles on "New Shoes," the melodically cathartic and faintly country-flavored "Go-To Girl," and an unidentified track hidden after the brief, operatic outro at the end of the album. Very nice stuff indeed.

    Katrina Carlson Rocks!

    Okay, I admit I was skeptical when my roommate told me about another female singer/songwriter out there that I needed to listen to. I mean - there are so many. But when I finally decided to buy her CD and give it a spin I was blown away! What a voice! Great writing, musicianship, hooks -- this artist has got it all! I'm a fan for life! Hey Jules, you were right! See for yourself -- try it today! Keep rockin' Katrina!

    Rising star

    A friend introduced me to Katrina Carlson's music when her first album was out, and after the first listen, I couldn't wait to hear more. I love it! "Suddenly Beautiful" and "I Know You By Heart" are beautiful ballads, but songs like "Dive" and "Closer" show that this girl can rock too! I highly recommend this album.

    Fabulous!

    There's not a single bad track on this CD. It's a shame that more people don't know about this artist.
