Life, though, is all about perspective. When she is assigned a social guide, she views this as a gift, and her life appears to improve. She deceptively feels the freedom that her brother once explained to her. Her perception of truth and freedom often change as Trixie adapts into a life wherein which she is forced to follow distinct social rules. Perpetual nudges and commands compel Trixie into a physical and psychological journey.
She strives to please others. She strives to be a part of her community. She strives to maintain her own individualism. Eventually, she strives to free herself from social mandates required by the ruling council and fully accept that which she finally knows to be true, herself.
