Overview

Sunday leads a solitary existence, spending most of his time reading and fishing on his boat, hidden among the Ten Thousand Islands off the Florida coast. It has been years since he has spoken with anyone outside of his priest and confidant, Steady. Because Steady once saved his life, Sunday can't refuse when he asks him to save another. Katie Quinn, a world-famous actress, has been driven by a secret and the pressures of her fame to end her life. Sunday provides an alternate escape, a way to write herself a new life by helping her to fake her death. But Katie still must confront her past before she can find peace, and she'll need Sunday to leave his secluded home and travel to the French countryside to help her.

Another winner by Charles Martin. I agree, this would make a wonderful movie. The story is a page turner to the very end and then surprise! You will be compelled to go back to the beginning and read it again.

This is the most amazing book I have ever read!! It kept me interested throughout the whole book, and the ending was so unpredictable!!! I love this book, it is my new favorite!!! It is very well-written and realistic. Charles Martin is a great author! Read this book, you won't regret it!!

Don't miss this book. In fact I'm buying all his books. I have read 3 and he is one of my favorite authors. If I could rate higher than 5 I would!

This one didn't work for me. I have read two of Charles Martin's books which I loved - A life Intercepted and Water from my Heart. I had a lot of trouble getting into this story - just took forever to get my interest. I found the first 100 pages confusing and unclear to where the story was going. The subject matter just didn't appeal to me from the very beginning.

Although I enjoyed this book, it took a few chapters before I got into it. But I stayed with it and was glad I did. The characters became people I cared about and I needed to find out what happened to them. For me, this book did not have the Wow! factor for me that his other books did, so this is the first time I have given Mr Martin a 4 instead of a 5. But, all in all, after the first few chapters it was an engrossing and enjoyable read.

I did not intend to read this all the way through but I could not put it down. The author managed to zero in on the deep down pain many of us have experienced and can't seem to express or get others to understand how the hurt ravages soul, spirit and body. This author reaches into the innermost core and yet gives hope and inspiration to readers. A beautiful story without the profanity and sex that modern writers seem to need in order to be successful. Thank God for Charles Martin.

Hello, my dear people. My name is Kelsey.
I'm an eleven year old fangirl. Which basically makes me a weirdo.
My classmates are crazy. They don't know what it is to love a story that has changed you. Something that has changed you so much you'll never be the same again.
They don't understand why books are so important to me. If I wasn't a reader I wouldn't be able to face the world. I'd be a scaredy cat. But to be honest? On the braveness scale, I'm right up there with the Doctor and Tris.
I don't even know myself. I don't know what by boggart would be or what would be in my fear landscape. I don't know what the perfect gift for myself is, or what I desire most. I don't know my true house or faction. Why? Because I'm what you could call an everything person. I'm not even close to perfect. Not to mention that everyone thinks I'm crazy. Well, at least the rest of the seventh graders.
So what do you think of me so far? Am I your dream cone true? Your worst nightmare? The person you've been searching for your entire life? I don't know what I am, and i only have one lifetime to figure it out. So I'd best get started.
This is me, and this is my diary of an eleven year old fangirl.

This is the first book by Charles Martin that I read, but it won't be the last. After reading so many mediocre books recently, my initial reaction upon finishing this book is "thank you!" As others have noted, it is an amazing book, kept my attention from the first to the last page, and is beautifully written--without, by the way, explicit sex scenes permeating the paper, as many authors nowadays need to do. I honestly can't wait to read more novels by this author!

It has been a while since I have been moved so deeply by a book. I will definetly be reading more by this author. A very touching story, cleanly written. Loved it.

Charles Martin is the most gifted writer. His writing digs deep into my heart and stirs my soul, leaving a lasting impression. I always recommend his books to those looking for a good book, knowing they will never be the same. This world needs more Charles Martins!!

If you have read all Charles Martin's books, read this one. But if not, this isn't the one I would recommend to a friend.

"A movie star hints at her suicide in a confessional and a reclusive writer/fisherman, who gifts children suffering from cancer by giving them books they will love because of their personalities, become main characters in UNWRITTEN. The multiple names of these two characters--Katie, Isabella, Bella, Ma Cherie and Sunday, Peter, Mon Cherie--don't identify them. Their depth, pain and insights do. This book will long be a favorite, one I'll read over and over. I don't even feel I can write an adequate synopsis because it's too raw right now.

This was a really good read. It is a little tough to follow in the beginning...but stay with it. IT is worth it.

Great Book :) Writing is wonderful - I could visualize the characters and the places through his writing. The characters have lots of baggage and their lives were unfolded a little at a time through the book ~ which made me not want put the book down :) Charles Martin is right up there with Nicholas Sparks, Karen Kingsbury, etc. Keep sharing the gift of writing that God gave you. Ready for next book !
