Overview

Two years ago, Evie did the unthinkable. She put her cousin, the man she'd been raised with, before her husband. She had thought Anthony was just into small time crimes that would never hurt anyone. She was wrong. By the time her husband, FBI Special Agent, Kian Sloane, found out the truth, it was too late for his partner and best friend. Evie's cousin killed the agent in cold blood and was sentenced to prison. Evie couldn't forgive herself for her mistake, and it seemed her husband felt the same. When Kian turned cold and didn't even want to sleep in the same bed with her, she couldn't bear the hurt and filed for divorce.

Now Kian is back, just when Evie thinks her heart has begun to heal, but Kian doesn't walk into the bar where she works for her ex-boyfriend in search of a reunion. Kian comes with the news that Anthony has escaped, and the FBI believes he wants revenge and to get Evie, the only family he knows. Evie must be protected and live with the man she still loves with all her heart. Will she and Kian get a second chance at love, or will Anthony and other devastating news tear them apart again?

Evie is happily married to FBI Agent Kian Sloane, and they are talking about starting a family. Then the unthinkable happens. Kian's partner and best friend Brad is killed in the line of duty, and the killer happens to be Anthony Paine, Evie's corrupt cousin. Kian doesn't think that he can forgive Evie's for not telling him about Anthony's criminal history, so their marriage ends in divorce. Fast forward two years and Anthony has escaped from prison, and he's coming to get Evie to take her with him. To protect her, Kian suggest Evie move back in with him until Anthony is caught. Being under the same roof makes them remember happier times, and realize that they still love each other. To make their marriage work, they are going to have to have fight as one against all obstacles that get's in their way, especially an obsessed cousins who wants Evie, his only living family, with him. I loved Kian and Evie's story and how they were able to overcome
touch situations with their live and family intact. Another awesome read by Ms. Lockwood!

This was one of the WORST books I have ever read.  It seems like

This was one of the WORST books I have ever read.  It seems like the author had some thoughts in her head and just put them on paper without really adding any depth.  The storyline was all over the place.  It had potential but was severely lacking in derpth.  The book is only 105 pages not 198 pages as stated.   I have read new authors who put more effort into their work than this trash.  If you want something more in depth try Tara Ann Bradley.

    I wish it was longer.

I enjoyed the book and loved the storyline, but i wish the book was longer. It was worth reading, and it really needs more words or a bigger story. Again i really enjoyed it.
