While I enjoyed the storyline and commend the author for having a well-thought out idea, this book could do with having another round with editing. Simple grammar mistakes and missing/added words causing confusion over sentence structure brought my rating down from a 4.5 to a 3. However, I would recommend it to others.

The concept of this book is unique. The characters are relatively well defined, although I sometimes found myself getting some of them mixed up. With a fairly extensive cast, it is likely that I just wasn't paying enough attention! There are some editing issues (only in that a "he" might be placed where a "they" should be, and the such) but not enough to be distracting. In all, I liked this book and am going to be looking into picking up some more of his work.

While it is a decent book, missing words in sentences distracts greatly. I do not enjoy rereading a sentence 2-3 times to figure out what should be clear. The author also like to keep so many things hidden, it gets irritating. He will have a scene with no background or context then move to a completely different area.

I agree with the other review, there needed to be more editing because there were a lot of grammar errors from double words to ;; instead of ll...but all in all I really like this book...it really left me wanting more...I want to know what happens to all the characters since it leave the reader hanging...I do hope there is a second one to this.

This story is outstanding with dimensional characters that are likable & dislikable - sometimes at the same time. The premise of a dystopic society actually evolves ending up as Hunger Games meets Walking Dead meets Falling Skies by the time it concludes at the end of the sequel Exodus. No spoilers here - go on this journey for yourself.

I couldnt put this book down, it kept me interested throughout, although I did get confused in certain areas. Also, I noticed that I was missing some pages every few chapters, I dont know if this was because of a DL issue on my part or someone elses.

I really enjoyed this story. It was a creative and original story. It left me wanting to know what happens to the characters in the future. There are some errors. Some further editing could easily take care of the errors.

Haven is a compelling, fast paced novel that still takes time to ask in depth philosophical questions along the way. I highly recommend this book.

This was much better than I expected. The storyline was interesting and flowed well. Good characters and a little twist in the ending.

ok, this book was free, and being a free book it was OK. I think it might have dragged a bit at parts, but overall I thought it was worth my time. I wasn't thrilled about the ending but apparently there will be a sequel so we can see what happens to everyone. I would recommend this book since you can't beat the price and it's interesting.
