Overview

Working at the U. of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, David Boyce's primary research theme was the development of urban travel and land- use forecasting models synthesizing elements of network analysis and modeling, stochastic discrete choice theory, and entropy-based methods, but he has also worked on various aspects of intelligent transport systems such as in-vehicle route guidance. Edited by his former student, Lee (civil engineering, U. of Singapore), this festschrift contains 20 papers presenting recent research results in those fields, as well as a biography and appreciation of Boyce by another former student.
