Tatum and Angelo(Kid) meet by chance at a coffee shop. Both are intrigued right away and interested in each other. Angelo fights it and wants nothing in his life that could even remotely make him happy. Tatum is in Detroit for closure and is an author who writes best selling non-fiction books. Her editor and friend, Melanie, gives her new marching orders to write a romance book and Tatum decides Angelo can be her muse. I did not like Melanie and found her selfish and self-absorbed throughout this whole book. While Tatum tried to claim she was a good friend, I did not see it. Tatum tells Angelo about her book idea and he is intrigued. He tells her that he will follow the scenes she leaves for him in her book. Angelo really did try to do the right thing several times in this book. I did feel Tatum used him at points. When their feelings keep growing for each other, both know they are in trouble. Tatum lives in New York and Angelo cannot leave Detroit until his parole is over. When they do finally have to part, I didn't understand some of Tatum's actions. I would have stopped being friends with Melanie when finally told about what she sent to Angelo and how insulting it was. Angelo should have reacted a little better but Tatum sure didn't stand up for herself when he finally has enough. Overall a good read and a good addition to this series. Was glad Angelo finally started living.

Use Me is so different and imaginative, and I just adored this world. I was charmed to my toes! Imagine you’re a new romance author and you’re out walking around, minding your own business, when BAM! Your muse walks right past you—over sex feet of muscle, wicked tattoos and long hair in a messy man bun. That’s how the plot of Use Me goes, and it hooked me right from the start. How fun is this premise? Tatum is used to writing nonfiction but after something tragic happens in her past, Tatum just goes about her day, not really living. That changes when she catches a glimpse of Angelo, aka Kid. This sweet girl is so awkward and shy, but she has these vivid fantasies about him. All he’s doing is trying to order his first coffee (and hey, I don’t blame him. There’s so many options!). Tatum steps right in with her awkward and ends up semi-stalking him because how do you proposition a man to let you use his body? And for research? I laughed so much at Tatum’s exploits and actions. She was a gem! Then there’s Angelo himself. There’s a note of innocence to him. A lot, actually. I’ll let readers figure out how much. But what really got me? There’s a world weariness that dug right into my soul. Because of his past, Angelo spends some of his life behind bars. When he gets out, he has to re calibrate almost, and he’s filled with such rage. Angelo’s focused on it—containing guilt and sadness—that he drifts into a routine, shielding himself. The setup, quite simply, makes these two perfect for each other. I appreciated how the story was told. Some of it is in love letters—graphic scenes written by both Angelo and Tatum in a journal. And when they become reality? It’s explosive. These parts are so creative and ingenious! Dang, do their words light these two up! But the sexual nature of their relationship quickly morphs into more. This book is very romantic, the emotion rounding out to a stunning level. I will say that towards the middle some of the inner thoughts became a bit too much. It felt off, almost forceful. But then the conflict ramps up again, and I adored the ending. Use Me is the fresh, creative story that I was looking for! If you like a man-bun rocking, emotional hero that challenges his shy, but bold heroine and vice versa, I would pick this one up.

He growls! Not your quintessential bad boy. Where do I begin? I fell in love with Angelo "Kid" Mazzini the moment I began reading! He's a man not running from the past but owning his crime. What happened in his past plagues him day and night. Not letting anyone get close. He just doesn't know that Tatum Longley an Author who's friend and publicist urges her to leave her comfort zone of Nonfiction and enter the world of fiction in the form of a romance novel will Use him and turn his world right side in. Keeping a promise to some one from her past she chose to write and draw inspiration in Detroit, Michigan she had no idea that this journey would teach her to "Breathe Again". Sweet baby Jesus Kid is Hot with a capital H. Did I mention he growls?...Swoon! This book gave me all the feels! I could feel the hurt and pain from both characters. The chemistry between them was electric! I would recommend this book!! I would also recommend you have at least three pairs of panties next to you. Be cause those that don't melt will definitely be soaked!

Tatum Longley has a deadline to meet for her latest story and has her best friend and editor breathing down her neck to get it finished and get back to New York. She finds herself unable to leave Detroit after making a promise long ago to visit the city she knows nothing about. Things make a turn for the better when she finds herself behind a quiet beast of a man in her usual coffee spot. Angelo Mazzini is struggling for normalcy and what that really means. He's learning to live life again outside of prison though he's really unsure where to start. He knows his gym and the guys he trains and he knows Detroit. He believes he's condemned and every thing he touches pays the price. I loved how flawed both of these characters are. They've both been dealt poor hands but have found very different ways to exist until they find each other. Tatum seems to be a normal and carefree person until you find out her past but then again what's normal? My heart ached for Angelo and his losses and the cross he felt he needed to bear. I had no expectations going into this book but was pleasantly surprised at the path these two traveled to get to their happily ever after. The story had my attention from the very beginning and just I though I had thought I had figured out what was next, another avenue was opened I hadn't even considered. I have read other books by Ms. Fields and she continues to amaze me. I haven't read any by Ms. Camaron though I look forward to adding her to my list of go-to authors. This is the first book I've read by the two authors combined.
