As a law enforcement officer and instructor, I highly recommend that this book be added to your library! This book should be required reading for Law Enforcement supervisors, Internal Affairs units, investigators, Police administrators (Chiefs and Sheriffs), and the ground pounding street cop. Almost each page of my copy of this great book has something highlighted. Kevin Davis writes in a very easy to understand format. For many Use of Force can be a difficult topic to comprehend. For those that do find Use of Force hard to understand, this book is for you! This book is a must for anyone involved in investigating Use of Force incidents. Many investigators lack in proper and effective training in investigating officer force incidents. This books easily guides you through the steps that are necessary. He explains many common traps and mistakes in these investigations that are very useful to know. Case studys and case law are included as well. For any cop that finds yourself debating with family members, co-workers, etc about a cell phone or dash cam video frequently, this book will aid you in your debate and articulation with those folks.
