V4...The Other Side

All Music Guide
Contemporary gospel artist J Moss provides a set of mostly feel-good, uplifting material on his fourth album, V4...The Other Side. Indeed, this is a less introspective and solemn set compared to V2... and Just James, as demonstrated by energizing songs like "Imma Do It," "Shout," and "Keep Your Head Up." "Good Day" (Kierra Sheard and Karen Clark Sheard), "You Did" (James Fortune), and "The Prayers" (Hezekiah Walker and Dorinda Clark-Cole) are supported by appearances from some of Moss' peers.

This album is ANOINTED! "God's Got It" is relatable for that young hip hop generation that may be going through something hard & you are trying to reach with Gospel Music to show them a healthy and healing alternative to some of the destructive pop music. I listen to "Holy Is Your Word" when I'm trying to clear my mind for prayer or bible study. It is so beautiful and full of serenity. "Good & Bad" a radio hit that tells a truth so many can relate to about God still loving you through your shameful life and things in life you're proud of. Last but certainly my favorite on this album that made me buy it in the first place is "THE PRAYERS"! A good old fashioned yet modern and hip, hand-clapping foot-stomping, chill-bump raising, feel great, sing-along, that is so so amazing. On top of that your are treated to the vocals of his Aunt Dorinda and cousin Kiki Sheard.
    'The Prayers
' is SLAMMING MASTERPIECE OF PRODUCTION!!!!
