Meet the Author

I was born in Orange, New Jersey and spent the first 12 years of my life outside of the greatest cultural city in the world,New York City. My mother fostered my interest in books and reading by taking me to the library every week. Being able to write came naturally. Many of my college professors encouraged me write for a living but I never had the patience for long hand or typing. A laptop in 2005 changed all of that. Now I write for fun and hopefully profit somewhere down the road. I am semi-retired and live in Prescott, Arizona.

I usually do not like books with ghosts, but this one was very good. It was 760 pages long. It jumped around from past, present, and future. It had two story lines which merged near the end of the book. I got confused a few times over what era it was. The Valley of Sorrows was very well edited. There was quite a bit of violence. No sex, no cursing. Best of all the dog lives to bark another day. I hate it when an animal dies. I do not understand why the author threw in a few of the events, as these had no impact in the story what so ever and the plot would have been better without them. Both men and women would enjoy this book. Ages 18 and up due to length and violence. AD

This is one of those books that you will start reading and won't put down. Can't wait to read another book by author. I would give this book more stars if I was able to, it should get 10 stars.

I received this book to give an honest review. I actually enjoyed this book a lot more than I thought I would. It is a great murder, paranormal mystery. Though I do have to say I figured out who the man was on Marielle and Pete's property about almost towards the end. One of the main characters named Thad, I truly felt sorry for. The way he was brought up no wonder he became as mean, and as violent as he did. The one scene in the bedroom I literally was sickened by it. I know it is in a book but I wanted to strangle the stinky man too. I liked how the heroine in the story was an older woman and not some 20 year old fresh on the page so to speak. It just proves that older people can kick ass too even if they fall a lot lol. I really enjoyed all the characters and how their story was woven in a way that they were all connected from the past and the present. This author is really good at story telling and keeping you hooked from beginning to the end. I would say hey give this book a read if you like ghosts, the paranormal, a murder and a mystery all wrapped into one.

This is only the 9th book I have read, and it was only the second one that I liked. I liked the idea of having different stories come together as one in the end. It was suspenceful, sad and shocking at times, then ended happily ever after.

Very suspenseful and it develops strong characters, that you will not easily forget. One of the best written books you are likely to read.

If you're a fan of Jeffery Deaver or Nelson DeMille, you might like this novel. It has a similar tempo and feel. It's an entertaining read and the villain---from childhood on---will make your skin crawl.

Almost stopped reading around 50 pages then decided to give it till page 100. Glad i did!once the author got past "over setting up the scene" and drove into all parts of the story it bloomed into a real page turner. Ended up being a great read with excellent characters.

I loved this book.  Dan, Thad, Marielle is interesting characters that plays to ones darkness with the others light.  What I liked most is that Marielle at the age 50 is not a cripple.  She is still full of life, love and passion.  She cares deeply, beliefs wholeheartedly and loves passionately.  She is familiar with the shortcomings of her age but does not let it become part of her life and does not make it part of her shortcomings.   The plot has enough turns in it to keep the readers interest and Thad is evil enough in a bonechilling way to make you turn the pages.   WaAr.
