Overview

Jason Freeman is stoked when his family relocates to exclusive DeVere Heights, Malibu. The kids at his posh new high school are surprisingly friendly, and pretty soon Jason's part of the in-crowd. He even gets to meet the hot-but-unattainable girl.

Then, the morning after one off-the-hook party, a girl washes up on the beach dead. There's no explanation—except a suspicious-looking bite mark on her body.

Now Jason has to admit that what you dno't want to know can hurt you. And when an old friend pays him a visit, they have no idea that they're about to put themselves in mortal danger. Literally.

The vampires in this series are sort of like the ones in the Twilight series. They are a little different. They don't kill to feed, and they don't add to their numbers. Jason is shocked that he is accepted so easily into the vamp in-crowd when he is only human. This series is a great romance between Jason (human) and Sienna (vamp). I almost loved them more than Bella and Edward. They just seemed a little bit more realistic as a couple. There are four books in the series that lets you follow the complicated but unforgettable Sienna/Jason romance. I loved how they always fought for each other and never gave up. I was pleasantly surprised by these books. This particular book you are looking at is the first two stories in the series combined. After you buy this book you only need the last two (which are also sold combined into one book or you can buy them seperate). In case you get confused... THE VAMPIRE BEACH SERIES: 1. Bloodlust 2. Initiation 3. Ritual 4. Legacy This book contains Bloodlust and Initiation.

I read this series such a long time ago but I still think about it! I think the imagery that Alex Duval creates is amazing and I feel like I actually know the characters. A great teen read

This book was good, but not great. The imigary was amazing, but he just made the charactors talk. I loved the book, but it wasnt the best. One question, is he writing one after Vampire Beach 2? Haha, yeah, i didnt really like the book, but a good book is a good book. ya know?

Just your average vampire book. Not completely awesome, but not bad, either.

The book I read was Vampire Beach: Bloodlust by Alex Duval. The book was awesome as I could not put it down. The book¿s chapters kept you on your toes or at the edge of your seat. Throughout the book you always wanted to know what was going to happen next. For example, after the girl¿s body showed up on the beach with the two puncture holes on her neck you begin to wonder if vampires do exist. You kept reading on to find out whether vampires exist or not or if there is another cause for the puncture wounds. I believe that this is a book that I would read again as I fear I may have missed some details that could have helped near the end of the book. I think the rating for this book would be a eight out of ten as it was a good book but there were a couple of changes that I would have made to make it even better.
