Rafe is an older vampire. He is in a sad situation, he has fallen for his partner. Shannon is a human who he hunts demons with. She seems to really enjoy killing vampires. And she often lets her feeling towards them known to Rafe...reminding him what he is.
Shannon has requested to be moved and no longer partner with Rafe. Not because of her hate for vampires though, more because she fears what she feels towards one in particular. This story takes place on their last few days of hunting together. Where Rafe knows it's his last chance to let her know how he feels and her last few days to either stay strong and leave him behind...or give into how she really feels about him.
This is a free ebook and worth the read. The author does well with pulling on the readers emotions. It has romance and some adventure as they go “hunting”. For me it was a fairly quick read.

A quick and easy read, but nothing spectacular or out of the ordinary. The romance and attraction wasn't bad but the action scenes were very flat and flavorless. No real character development either, I guess because it was so short... but what you see is what you get, nothing is any deeper than face value.
