Overview

In an epic battle, King Phelios defeats King Dusel, but both monarchs are mortally wounded. As the two lay dying, Dusel prophesies that they will meet again, sometime in another place and another time, and vows that he will be triumphant. The moment of resurrection happens hundreds of years later when Dusel comes back as a menacing baby wildcat who is rescued from the wild and adopted by Ishtar, the great-granddaughter of his nemesis, King Phelios. Ishtar is a playful girl with an iron will and a penchant for pranks, a trait that distresses her caretaker, Sir Keld, and a dashing imperial guard, Captain Dales. Ishtar is not, however, the reincarnation of Phelios, leaving the now-feline Dusel to continue his quest for revenge - without letting his new owner know that he is hell-bent on destroying her family ... but would Ishtar even care about that if she knew?

    I Also Recommend:

    Not just another vampire story

The series is so addicting, the whole time I was hoping that Ishtar would get with Darres because she loves him. That's the main reason I kept reading. I'm sad with how the series ended, but it was also really cool. This story isn't at all like other vampire stories, thank god!, finally something original, when was the last time you read an original vampire story? The vampire, Duzell, is kind of in the background, he's probably the second main character. The story is also pretty funny.

    VG

I love Vampire Game, and the developement of Princess Ishtar is very interesting. Mostly I love the cute little Vampire King Duzy and of course Darres. My favortite character thus far (I have yet to read 13 because it isn't out) is Yujinn. It's a bit confusing at times due to the bizzare names and all of the characters but it still has a good plot line and a lot of humor.

    For vampire loves every where

This is a really cute book. Ishtar is not a girl you can push around, maybe that's why her best friend is a vampire who is a sworn enemy of her family. Ishtar has a gift for getting into troble and sleeping through her classes. I really thought it was going to be a bad manga but it turned out really good.

A great vampire manga that anyone can enjoy

This is an amazing series (I actually own up to vol.7). From the title I was expeting something dark, but Vampire Game is fresh with the perfect mix of magical, slightly gothic, and 'cute' elements. It's fun, entertaining, and the artwork (including the charater desings) looks very good. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a good fantasy story

    Vampire Game, volume 1

I have only read volume 1 in this series so far, but I have TOTALLY gone head-over-heels for this thing. I had to let my friend borrow it for 2 days, and, before I got it back, I learned that I have the condition of 'duzell-withdrawal' whenever it is taken away from me for extended periods of time. This is really a good series, and I recomend you read it, especially if you like vampires (like ME!!)

    Vampire Game vol. 1

I thought it was a great manga, I recommend it. I thought it would be a little more dark by it's title because I was thinking more along the lines of Vampire Princess Miyu. I don't mind the kind of 'cute' (for lack of a better word) this manga is and if you don't mind cuteness either than I would recommend it. There may also be some yaoi in this series which I'm sitting here hoping for. (but I've only read the first volume)
