The Rise of EclipseClan- REWRITTEN- Prologue, Part 3

With that, the black queen opened her mouth in a silent cry. Her legs and tail jerked abruptly, her cyan eyes dulled. Then, she laid still.
Clawstar screeched in grief, the loud yowl pressing Glasseye to the ground, his ears flat against his gray head. However, this surrender did not protect the medicine cat from his leader's wrath.
The huge, brown tom turned towards the cowering cat, his fur puffed and his gray eyes filled with scorching fire. "I hate you!" He hissed, crashing into thr smaller cat. He scored his claws across his victim's muzzle, each scratch causing a new wave of agony through the medicine cat's veins. "My THIRD mate! DEAD! Because of you. I TRUSTED you to keep her alive!" Clawstar brought his face towards Glasseyes. The frail, gray cat squirmed; Clawstar's hot, rancid breath was no help to his blossoming wounds.
"If I could kill you, I would," the leader spat. "Unfortunately, I won't," his face showed a flicker of sadness, "for Midnightflower. She wouldn't want me to ever kill a cat, even a disgusting, worthless piece of vermin like you." As soon as Clawstar's thick, sharp paw released his victim, the injured medicine cat bolted to his den.
After he caught his breath, the remaining cat in the den looked towards his mate and kits. Grief lanced through his body, as he dragged his former mate and the stillborn to the darkest part of the nursery to bury them. "No-one shall know what happened," he whispered to himself, "no-one but me, and that wealking known as Glasseye. I shall say she left for a moonhigh walk, and was caught by a fox." He looked at his three remaining kits, who were now squirming and squeaking due to lack of warmth, and sighed. But who would take care of these?
"Wolfkit and Whitekit," he muttered, "and you?" He turned towards the black runt, her eyes squeezed shut. Clawstar was taken aback by the way she looked exactly like her mother: her pitch-black fur, the white underbelly and paws, the sleek, long tail. The only difference was that a white, crescent-moon marking rested upon her forehead. She looked almost like his sweet Midnightflower, a reflection of her.
    Like an eclipse.
"You shall be called Eclipsekit," the tom said bluntly, his gray eyes showing no positive emotion. Suddenly, he noticed her build. She was skinny, with no form of muscles whatsoever. Her fur hung limply off her bones, and she was scrunched into a ball, whimpering inaudibly.
Clawstar grew rigid. Even if this kit had the same markings as his mate, she did not have her strong, well-built posture or spirit!
With a hiss, he swatted the runt to the side. She gave a small squeal of pain. Showing no sympathy, Clawstar rested his talons on her back, digging into her flesh.
"Midnightflower should be ashamed to have a runt like you look as her reflection," he snarled. "From tonight on, I shall coat you with wounds and scars, so you will NEVER look like her!" He dug his claws into her left ear. Eclipsekit's idea of the worst pain was renewed again and again, as Clawstar scored his teeth and pain across her. Finally, in a huff, he padded out of his mate's death-bed, leaving the kits behind.
