Meet the Author

A former bookstore shopkeeper, Matsuri Hino burst onto the manga scene with her title Kono Yume ga Sametara (When This Dream Is Over), which was published in Lala DX magazine. Hino was a manga artist a mere nine months after she decided to become one.

With the success of her popular series Toraware no Minoue (Captive Circumstance), and MeruPuri, Hino has established herself as a major player in the world of shojo manga. Her new title, Vampire Knight, currently runs in Monthly Lala magazine.

Hino enjoys creative activities and has commented that she would have been either an architect or an apprentice to traditional Japanese craft masters if she did not become a manga artist.

    Love it!!

Honestly, this is personally my favorite manga and the best vampire storyline that I've ever read. The plotline is very well planned out, down to things like the meaningful names of the characters themselves. Not only that, the artwork is absolutely very unique and detailed. Yuki Cross and Zero Kiryu's relationship also intrigues me incredibly. Although the story doesn't seem so at first, the storyline delves much deeper and into a darker plot. I recommend this to all manga-lovers, vampire-lovers, and of course to those who just want to read a good book/series.

    I Also Recommend:

    Suspenseful

Near the end, it got weird and a little creepy. Actually throughout it seemed that way. Still suspenseful though.

    Bloody Past

"I am happy that you and I are bounded by the blood that can never be broken. Make hatred your nourishment and become an adult quickly, Zero." These were the last words that the Pureblood vampire, Hiou Shizuka, told Zero after murdering his family on that snowy day long ago in the past. Ever since that day, Zero has awaited for the time that he would be able to encounter this female Pureblood vampire once again and finish the job that his parents were not able to accomplish at that moment in time. For reasons unknown, fate seems to have drawn, Hiou Shizuka, to Cross Academy for the time being. With the cruel and savage nature of being a vampire, will Zero have to suffer the lost of another person close to him? Or will Zero find a way to kill the person who stole his humanity (turned him into a vampire)?

This manga makes me and my friends laugh every time we read them! (Not to mention they also make us jealous whenever Yuki and Zero get close! ^_^) But the art in these books are tremendous, and the story lines are awsome! Claps for Vampire Knight! =D P.S. VAMPIRE KNIGHT IS BECOMING AN ANIME! XD

Don't Read my Reveiw... You can if you want... Vampire Fan ...!

This manga is the best! It has some of the best art I've ever seen! In 100,000,000 years! It's about 2 guardians, Yuki Cross and Zero Kiryu who protect the school called, Cross Academy and keep the Day Classes away from the Night Classes. The Night class happens to be a group of hot and sexy looking vampires. (which of corse the Day Class flock constantly) The main character (a girl) Yuki Cross has no memory piror to the day on the snowy mountains, when she was about to be eaten by a vampire. A young pure blood vampire (Kaname Kuran). She has a strong bond. (this is because they turn out to be brother and sister, though Yuki is pretty much clueless until the end of ch. 35) Even though her fellow guardian, Zero Kiryu from the day class, turns out to be vampire which sucks her blood. (They made a deal, Yuki wanted Zero to drink her blood to stop him form tuning into a e- level vampire. E lavel = insane vampire) Zero is so hot! I want him to end up with Yuki. Zero had a tuff life, seeing that his twin brother betrayed him, his parents were killed, and he's a servant to a pure blood vampire. (Humans turn into vampire when bitten by pure bloods. Zero was once human, his parrents were expert Vampire Hunters') (though she really has no other choice, seeing that Kaname is her brother.) I can't wait to read the end of the series! This is one of the best series ever! onderful Gothic pictures! (Though its rated older teen, it really has no violence or sex, though it does have some blood, duh its about vampires)SO YOU SHOULD READ IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Under my recomendations, after all who could recomend better than I? Okay a lot of people.... But you should still READ IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
