Nobody does vampires like J. R. Rain. He has such a way with words. I usually don't care for long paragraphs of description, but there is just something about the way Rain does it that makes it all seem to flow with ease. Merlin's Tomb is included in this book also. This is the first screenplay I have ever read and found it very easy to follow; plus, it was a really good story, lots of action and a great ending. This includes a nice variety of stories and all are great. Easy, quick reads, and I read the book in one short sitting. I am never disappointed with J.R. Rain's books!

    Great Short Stories

There are three stories in this book and a bonus short story. The first one is The Night Knows Me Well. All I can say is that when an ancient vampire makes up his mind to do something, it is best to stand back.

The second story is They Came From the Sea. Who knew you could find something so life changing in your own back yard. The third story Merlin’s Tomb is about two children who meet Merlin and begin a wonderful adventure. The bonus short story was bloody and a ball, a masquerade ball to be exact.

I love J.R. Rain. All of his books have are deep in character and very well written. His characters are intelligent, quick witted and often humorous. His Vampire for Hire and Jim Knighthorse books are a very good example of this. I recommend this book of short stories and all of the other books he has written.
