Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Rosa Roberts
Imagine attending a school solely for vampires? In this "Vampire School" series the students are obviously not typical and neither is the school, St. Orlok Elementary. This selection is the second book in the series. In this effortless reading adventure, the three friendly vampires, Lee, Billy, and Bella are on a class trip to the county fair. While on their field trip, the three friends uncover some strange characters hanging around the fairgrounds. Throughout their visit to the county fair many things begin to disappear and these strange characters appear before the three bat friends. Do any of the robberies have to do with these individuals? This adventure and mystery will appeal to the young reader. The reading level for this series is for early emergent to early fluent readers with the simplistic sentence structure and vocabulary. The six short chapters and large text will not intimidate the beginning readers of chapter books. Illustrations are included throughout the 96 pages to assist young readers. Reviewer: Rosa Roberts
