    The Vampires Assistant

I bought this book for my 12 year old son but I had my husband to read it first to make sure it was ok for my son to read. My husband loved this book and made me go out and buy the continued series to this book. My son loves the book too (it got my husbands approval).

    We Love Cirque Du Freak!

I started reading this series because the movie was getting ready to come out and I had seen all the advertising. It took a little getting used to the writing style. It seems to be written for the 12 year old demographic but it is shelved with teen fiction. Let me just say (as I am now starting book 10) that I can't wait for my 6 year old to be old enough to read them! My husband and I find them truly entertaining. There are a ton of plot twists- you really think you have it figured out and then you realize you were totally wrong. Trust me, you'll want to read them all!

    Worth the weight.

I got this book as my Father's gift for me. I must say that this book is excellent. It contains 3 books from the Cirque du Freak series. As you read, it gets uncomfortable to carry because of the weight. However, you won't mind it, for this series will carry you to another dimension of fantasy. I am also giving credit for Mr. Darren Shan's skills for description. I am a big fan of him now. As a matter of fact, my parents gave me The Demonata series box set as a Christmas gift.

I personally love this book. Darren ,the main character, goes through alot just to save his friend. But instead of his friend viewing him as a hero, he is hated for living the dream that his friend has. As Darren moves from place to place with his mentor, he encouters many things that put him on an emotional overload. But just as he thinks he'll always be an outcast, he makes a friend who is just as freaky as him. But one of my favorite parts about this book is the way the author describes the macabre details, it makes you see everything in clarity. I love books like this. Friendship, bloodshed, kidnapping. I suggest this book if you love suspenense drama, and creepy details.

    Vampire's assistant....different from the film.

The movie is different from the book...which makes reading it after seeing the movie more fun because you don't know what to expect next.

    Easy Read

I got hooked on the prologue. It was very interesting and made you feel strongly for the characters. I haven't read the rest of the series but I definately look forward to it.

One of the best series books I've read in a long time!

This book is a great start to an even better series. I generally don't read books where the main character is male. I usually am disappointed when I do. This series however is written so well that it is impossible for me to be disappointed. Put the time in to read all 12 books and you won't be disappointed either.
