I picked this one expecting a novel, but it's not. It's a short story, giving a backstory (in nice detail) of one of the characters in the main novels (Vampire High School 1). (Not telling you which one; that would spoile it) Looking back, it was only 99c, and it shows these guys are serious about their readers and the world they're creating. I would have given 4 stars, cos not a novel, but it was a cool story, so got upgraded.
