This book is enhancing but, unfortunately, it does not catch my eye. In fact, I would have never read this without my friend, who shall remain nameless, recommending it to me. However, I do like the characters in this book. They are truly original and make me laugh every so often. If you want to know, you should read this for yourself. The illustrations are done beautifully. I think that this book is ever so magnificent, but I do not think it is for my level of reading. It is good to read in a classroom, although I am not a teacher, just a mere reader and book reviewer.

My favorite character in this book was Lisa, because she was funny when she told lots of jokes. I liked the part of the book when she got in a fight with Eddie saying that Mrs. Jeepers was a vampire.

I absolutely loved this book as a kid!!! I remember checking it out at the library at least once a week! I think its stupid that someone would say it isn't suitable for children because the book has kids sneaking out at night and the word 'murder'. I read this a million times as a kid i never did any of those things it was just entertainment. when my little girl is old enough to read i will def let her read this and im sure she'll love it as much as i did!!!

The third grade class is getting another new teacher, Mrs. Jeepers. Mrs. Jeppers isn't like other teachers. She always wears a green stone. She comes from Translyvania. She moved into the towns haunted house. Eddie, Melody, Howie, and Liza are convinced their new teacher is a vampire. This is a great book. Read it!

I read this to my 6 year old and she loved it. My 3 1/2 year old and my husband were even into the story. While it does have some questionable actions (sneaking out, misbehaving) it's a book and my kids understand that it is not appropriate to act that way. Very fun book and I recommend it!

'Murder' is written several times in the book. Look up the definition as see if it's something an 8 year old needs to know about. There are several poor behavioral themes such as caving into peer pressure, not telling parents about 'the problem' because their parents won't believe them anyway. Its gets worse.... Sneaking out of the house after the parent falls asleep. Two students break into their teacher's house at night. Finally, one of the children did research at the local library on Vampire's and discovered that wearing a huge gold cross around his neck would protect him.... and this is for an 8 year old child to read?? This book is better suited for possibly a 4th or more likely 5th grader.

My book is about four kids whose teacher quits because of their behavior, so now they have a new teacher who is believed to be a blood sucking vampire.
