She sighs deeply before looking at the ruins of the coven. This... was her home when she was simply a vampire, now... she was much more. She had her first husband here.. so many memories.

While the book may not be in the same league as an Anne Rice novel, I found this story to be well-written. If you are looking for a book that you can enjoy and finish in a few hours, this one should be on your list! I found the storyline to be very easy to follow, and the character development was very detailed. A different take on the vampire genre but well worth the read.
