I was Lucky enough to hear the author, Henry Nueman, speak at my college last year and must say it was the most interesting lecture I have ever heard. I immediately bought two copies of Van Gogh and God afterwards. Every page is rich with fascinating new perspectives on Van Gogh's life. It is a theology and art history lesson all in one and combined perfectly at that. For nonfiction, this book is very captivating and reads quickly. Anyone interested in Van Gogh and/or religion should definately read this book. It documents one very important spiritual quest, previously ignored by both art historians and theologians. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
