Dutch hard-rockers Vandenberg were a lot more than another imitation of Van Halen. First of all, guitarist Adrian van den Berg had a musical talent far beyond many of his contemporaries. Secondly, vocalist Bert Heerink was a real gem. Add to that a handful of really good songs, and there is no denying this album deserved a lot more success. Highlights includes melodic rocker "Lost in a City" and atmospheric ballad "Burning Heart". The band recorded another two albums but this one is their best. Driving force Adrian van den Berg later left the band to join Whitesnake during their hugely successful "1987"-tour. Recommended debut! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
