    Not good at all!

I couldnt even finish this book! I hate when the girl is the dom. I picture a feminine guy in this story with a girl who you never really get to know. Just not my kind of book.

HO-LY COW!!! I absolutely LOVED this book!! Heather is my hero! She is what every woman dreams of being! Not to spoil anything, but that ping pong paddle scene was HAWT!!! But the book is not just sex, even though the sex scenes will leave you breathless. This book has an excellent plot. It's about finding yourself all over again but for the better. I have read other books by C.J. Ellisson and enjoy her work immensely! I can't wait to read more!!

    Far from 50 shades...in a good way.

Based on the blurb, one would assume this book would be like a certain trilogy that involves an individual named Grey. Where those books had no real direction and plot, "Vanilla on Top", actually weaves a story between the two leads where the connection is more genuine. Both leading characters are searching for something that has been missing from both their career and personal lives and through time and each other they are able to find what they are looking for. Although in the case of Heather, it was a bit of a stretch that limited acting lessons can allow her to change her persona but I guess the idea is that it was a side of her that she never got to show. All in all, I felt the connection was believable and it is told in a way that captures your attention.

Very Very Very Good! I really enjoyed this book. I feel like Heather does what almost every girl wants to do. She is shy and basically lets most people walk all over her, but then she meets Tony at speed dating. Tony is a workaholic who complains about wanting someone else to tell him what to do every once in a while. Heather takes him up on it and then some.
This story is very HOT and will leave you wanting MORE!  I recommend this book. It was a quick and enjoyable read.

While the pace of the book is fast and thrilling, CJ Ellisson managed to ingrain a good bit of anticipation and depth into her plot. The scenes are HOT! The kind that will leave you fanning yourself as the room gets inevitably warmer. As a woman, you can’t help but want to put yourself in Heather’s shoes, especially when she’s calling the shots! :-p We should be taking notes, ladies. It’s almost a manual. The interaction between the protagonists and their respective best friends felt real, allowing me as a reader to connect with them as well as find them relatable. The many facets of Tony are a treat to unwrap throughout the book and make him more than your typical lead. Overall, I am very pleased with the book and can’t wait to see what else CJ has in store for us. Perhaps Marcus and Carla hit it off? Wink wink.

Waste of $2.99. I read it in about an hour and a half. There is very little attention to character development or plot (and once again, we have an author using food and sipping drinks as a plot device). I don't like the crudeness of it; crude is not sexy. Frankly, as bad a writer as EL James is, this imitation of her works is sub-par at best.

Steamy, sweet, and more importantly, liberating, Vanilla On Top

Steamy, sweet, and more importantly, liberating, Vanilla On Top is the best erotic romance I've read in a long time. C.T. Ellisson is a fantastic writer. Fifty Shades of Grey fans need to read this and see how erotica is supposed to be done.

This book is hot hot hot! This is one of those books that draw you in and captivate you all within the first chapter. I mean who would have thought speed dating could be so much fun?!?!? Heather steps out of her comfort zone and becomes a woman Tony just can't get out of his head.

Vanilla On Top switches between both Tony and Heather's POVs. C.J. did an amazing job writing this book. The characters worked well together and we're well developed. The story was also well developed. I cannot wait to read the second installment. This one blew me away!

I truly enjoyed Heather and Tony little merger.... Being who she really was inside after a moment of thinking outside the box not only brought Heather a new job but love in the real form.
I guess Tony proved men can be persuaded given the right paddle boost. It not only had him aroused but brought him from a stressful environment. He was a great man and enjoyed a little power exchange.
This was a nice read but I wanted Brian to get fired SO bad. LOL, the jerk.

    HOT!!!!

I loved this story line. The characters had desires that they were reluctant to share with others but together they figured out how to make them a beneficial thing between them. While figuring out their sexual issues, it turned out that they started falling for each other and were quite well matched as a couple. They were both able to finally be happy both emotionally and sexually. I highly recommend this for a short but hot read for a cold night under the covers. Thanks again C.J. just another good read from a great author!!

C.J. Ellisson's Vanilla on Top is steamy, funny, serious and not

C.J. Ellisson's Vanilla on Top is steamy, funny, serious and not quite believable. However, that did not stop me from enjoying this story of a shy kitten turning into a lion. It has strong plot development, even stronger characters and it’s all about the relationship. The characters do not whine, abuse or generally annoy each other or the reader. Heather is a wonderful main female character; Tony is great too but at times a bit over zealous. The switch back and forth from POV was interesting not distracting. Good read for an evening alone, because once you start you will want to finish.

I received this book exchange for an honest review. This is a good book, I had a little trouble with it at first. I thank in the beginning it was missing the connection but as I read it got a lot better. The fact that they were both alphas and could balance that out with each other and have a lot of fun made the book very interesting. I like the way C.J. Ellisson writes. If you like your romance with some kinky fun you'll like Ms. Ellisson's books.

Interesting story -- and yes, there actually was a story, altho at the very beginning I almost doubted that. Heather meets
Tony at a speed dating even. She decides to act 'out of character' and has a rendevous with Tony on a balcony during
the event, where she realized that she doesn't have to always be the submissive partner. Tony calls her a 'vanilla dom' as
opposed to a hardcore one -- not sure I would have liked the latter for heather.  I enjoyed watching the two
characters change and become more true to themselves.

Ohhhh wow!!!! I loved; loved; loved it!!!!! Read the book in one sitting. Such a great story to relate to; Heather is such a mixture of damsel in distress to Xena Warrior and Tony is the man of my reading dreams.... They truly captivated me and can't wait to continue with the rest of the series.

This is one of those stories that leave a lasting impression on you, from the character development to the story telling.
CJ has an interesting way to tell a story, the chapters alternate one from the heroine's pov, the next from the hero's then back to the heroine's. This added another level for me as I loved knowing what was going on inside Tony's head as well as Heather's. I felt really invested in them as a couple and I was rooting for them to get a happy ever after! I'll be buying the next one for sure

A first person story that was so well done that I enjoyed it tho

A first person story that was so well done that I enjoyed it thoroughly. I enjoyed watching Tony and Heather figure out what they wanted, and that I was treated to some melt my ereader scenes during their journey was a definite bonus.

Ms. Ellison gave me both an emotional read and a story that was so darn steamy I couldn’t put it down, the writing was excellent and she really made me feel what the characters felt. Not to mention she started the story off so strongly I couldn’t put it down.
