Good, but lacking an important feature

The adaptation to the Nook Color is very well done - the pages are sharp and clear, and the Article View technology is a wonderful (and necessary) enhancement. It is easy to navigate through the magazine. However, feature articles generally have a page or two of numbered photos with captions. These captions are NOT included in the Article View text. If this is corrected in the future I will re-subscribe.

    Perfect!

Vanity Fair has the perfect combination of arts, politics, fashion, celebrity gossip, and photography. I'm hooked on the Nook's easy navigation and gorgeous high-resolution photos, unlike anything on the web. Two thumbs up!

    Always a Good Read

I have bee reading Vanity Fair for almost 20 years. I always enjoy the writing and in-depth articles each month. It has been my habit over the years to tote each month's issue with me wherever I go because it is not a quick read like other magazines. Now with the Nook Color I still get to take it with me but in a less bulky package. The digital version is just as satisfying as the magazine in hand.

    Squinting and Searching

Love the print version. Can't see or bookmark the Nook Color version. Disappointing.

    DOn't bother

I have both a Nook color and the "Nook for PC" app. The magazine says "Can't read this in this App" on the PC and it takes more than a mnute to render a page in the Nook.

Pretty pictures don't cut it. Save you time and buy paper for this use.

    Almost perfect..

Love almost everything about the magazine though I do skip through the ads for stuff I will never be able to afford and fluff pieces on celebrity/socialite galas no one but the attendees care about.

What I can't understand is why VF insists on renewing my subscription in JULY when it doesn't expire until MARCH, and, more frustratingly, why can't BN figure out that my print subscription has been renewed and persists in charging me for an e-subscription until I jump through the hoops to co-ordinate my print and NOOK subscriptions EVERY FREAKIN' YEAR. Enough already, it just can't be that difficult.

B&N CHARGING MY ACCOUNT FOR FREE TRIAL

I have had plenty of problems trying to sign up for this magazine on NOOK. First B&N tried to charge me for free trial. Then, after I entered my information for a subscription to this magazine free with my print subscription, B&N declined to sign me up, even though the NOOK information said this particular magazine is free with print subscription. They are not answering my emails, so I decided to post it here to see if I get any answer. In any case, the magazine is a pretty good one.

Love the magazine but as of about 3 months ago no longer get enh

Love the magazine but as of about 3 months ago no longer get enhanced content on my NC or HD+.
No longer has an hyperlinked TOC so hard to locate articles the "skip" pages. Reads like a PDF edition. Use to enjoy the mag. Now frustrating experience & giant step backward.

Too difficult to get through all the ads on a Nook!

I canceled my Nook subscription and ordered the magazine through the mail. It's way too hard to try to read this on a Nook. Way too many ads, and content is hard to find!

    Garbage Elite Obsession

Just gross. It's obsessed with people who have money, be they celebrities, bankers, tech industry folks, or whatever. It's just...lame. The occasional good article can be found on Longreads or The Browser.

    Avoid, avoid.

    Still Vanity Fair

But somewhere along the way it was decided that pinch and zoom was not acceptable
The recent issues do have a larger font but there is no choice to pinch and zoom - total fail

    Pleased

I am very happy with my choice for Vanity Fair as my monthly magazine "newsstand" subscription. I mean, I had thousands to choose from but none of them really appealed to me because they were too shallow. Some focused solely on fashion others on entertainment and others on politics. Vanity Fair, I am very proud to say, focuses on all of the above plus some. Plus, its a THICK magazine. Currently my monthly rate is $1.99 for an issue. What is the cost per issue in store? Like $8.00, maybe more... Last time I checked an individual magazine bought in store was outrageous. HELLO! Gigantic THICK interesting IN-YOUR-FACE magazine. Come on, I chose Vanity Fair; it's just THAT awesome.
