    Essential 4AD

    Vaughan Oliver, while not a musician himself, is an integral part of the legend of British record label 4AD. As any fan of Cocteau Twins, Modern English, Lush, or the Pixies will attest to, Oliver's stunning graphic designs which grace the album covers of these bands, become part of the listening experience. Along with the breathtaking reproductions of these covers, posters, and calendars is elucidating text by Rick Poyner which includes input from Oliver and many others who have worked with him. A beautiful volume which will please fans of 4AD and graphic design alike.

    If you like music - you'll like this book. If you like 4AD - you'll like this book. If you like 4AD's music - you might not like Mr. Oliver, but you'll love his book!
