Being a fan of Mr and Mrs Allen's blog, Vegetarians in Paradise, I was eager to purchase her Holiday cookbook. Don't get me wrong, her recipes are awesome! But the Nook version is horrible! I have a color Nook but there are no pictures. There are links to what is supposed to be pics but when you link there it is just another black and white recipe. And I do mean No Pictures! Second, the index stinks. There is no way to link from the index to the pages and there are no page numbers by the referenced item. Gee, it's nice to know that there are recipes with cranberries in them but I still have to search page by page to find them. I have only owned the book for about 15 minutes but I'm considering asking for my money back. I would buy this one in book form.

First of all, you don't have to be vegan to love Vegan for the Holidays by Zel Allen. I'm not a vegan or a vegetarian, and I have enjoyed many of these tasty dishes. In this recipe book, you will find vegan versions of almost every holiday comfort food - from pumpkin pie to posole and from pistachio cookies to pomegranate punch. Zel explains each recipe in an easy-to-understand format. I'm not the most experienced cook, but I made the Holiday-Ready Apple Crisp for a dinner party and everyone went back for seconds! Those of you who are fans of Zel's vegan blog, Vegetarians in Paradise, will definitely want a copy of this beautiful cookbook.
