Just got my delivery of this book, the first vegetarian book I've purchased, and I'm excited to start making some of the recipes. I sat with the book for an hour before even looking at the recipes. There are sidebars and mini-articles throughout, with plenty of current veggie information in it, things you won't find in regular cookbooks (like "what's a pudding vegetarian?"... someone who avoids meat only because they prefer to survive on junk food). It's presented in a really colorful and engaging way. The back cover has a short, fun quiz - "what kind of veggie are you"? Would make a great gift for someone thinking of going veggie. Discusses differences between veganism and vegetarianism. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

I have been vegetarian for over twenty years and this was the cookbook I reached for whenever I wanted to try something new. It's now become my go-to book for making a nice meal. Favorites include the quice, lime risotto, and spinach with red lentils. Photography and images are great - models are hip and fun. You feel cool just using this book. Only one negative comment: watch the fat content in recipes. Writers are European and tend to go for the full-fat version of life heavy cream, butter, creme fraiche. I've made subsitutions successfully. Looking forward to buying some of the other parts of this series. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
