I read this book after a friend told me how much her daughter liked it. I can honestly say, I was really surprised how good this book was! It is a good mystery with just enough fantasy in it. Now that the Harry Potter Series is winding down, I think that this series could be the next big hit. I give Velhaps two thumbs way up!

One of the best books I have read in a very long time. This book should easily dwarf the 'Harry Potter' series when it catches on. This book is a wonderful example of what aspiring young authors are capable of.

    This book rocks!

I have already read this book, though it has not been out very long. I cannot believe how great it is! The author is only 16 years old, but the book is outstanding! I can't wait for the next one! The suspense is killing me! These are the types of books that deserve to be acknowledged and told to all people! Way to go!

Wow. This book beats Harry Potter, Wizard of Oz, LOTR, everything. geez. its not sophomoric or immature, and has a literary style comparable and measurable to those of Steinbeck and Hemingway. A tragic, beautiful story for the reaching heart.
