I am not a good man.

I have lied and cheated and stolen. I've decided between life or death, like it was my due. None of it matters, not anymore. These are not my sins.

I see her raise her hands, the dark metal she's clutching reflecting the moonlight. Her finger trembles as she cocks the gun pointed at me. Her eyes are cold, determined, but I know.

I know her.

My name is Devon Andre and I confess my sin. I am not a good man because this is the woman I love.

She pulls the trigger.

* Standalone contemporary romance.
* Mature reader advised due to sexual content and strong language.

Meet the Author

Sienna Lane and Autumn Karr are two friends with a joint love of reading, writing, candy, and Disney heroes (and Disney songs, of course.)
When they aren't scheming against fictional characters, or talking about their favourite books, you can find them ogling tattooed models and trying to figure out how to get them to do a cover shoot for their next book.

Together they wrote VENDETTA, releasing this December, and hopefully many more books to come. They love to hear from readers, so don't hesitate to contact them through their Facebook page (http://on.fb.me/18TGRU9).

    When I first read the summary of this book, I was immediately drawn to it. For some reason, it reminded me of Romeo and Juliet. I instantly thought of the Montagues and the Capulets (and those star crossed lovers), and after reading it, my assumption was right. My husband would often ask what the book was about, and I would say, “Think Romeo meets Juliet mixed in with a little violence and a little mob action, and you have Vendetta.”  And because of that, I really liked this book.
    I am a true romantic at heart, and I have a little thing for drama. Add those two together, and you have the perfect book for me. Leighton Moore and Devon Andre are from two of the biggest rivaling mob families in Boston.  So you already know that these two are preordained to loathe each other, but at some point in time, their hate evolved into lust and later turned into love. One minute they hated each other, and the next, they were caught up in the rapture of love. And I loved every moment of it!!!!!!!!!
    Mob bosses. Mob princesses. Shady characters. Violence. Whore houses. Revenge.  Kidnapping. Murder. Betrayal. Illicit love affairs.  Jealousy. Suspense. Warehouses. Shootouts. Drugs. Takeovers.  Disloyalty.  Family loyalty. Hate. Love. This book had it all, and with all of this going on, the book was focused and not over the top.
    The question is would you turn your back on your family to protect the one you love despite the consequences? Or would you remain loyal to your family while forsaking the love of your life? Decisions…….
    I would definitely recommend Vendetta. It was a quick read, and as you can see, I loved the drama element of it.  But between you and me, you may not like the epilogue (I really didn’t get the closure I was looking for and wanted a little more). Also, there is one twist in the book that I didn’t really see the reason for it, and in my opinion, the story would have been fine without it. But hey who am I? (And no, I won’t give it away¿)!  Well with that being said, I give Vendetta a 3.75/4 star rating. You should go get it!

    Wow. This book. Just, wow. I'm not really one for mob related stories and if I had known that this book was that ahead of time I might not have read it. And that would have been a damn shame because I thought it was awesome. Vendetta is a modern day Romeo & Juliette set in the middle of a mob war in Boston. Teenagers Devon and Leighton are both mob children, but from opposing families. They have danced around each other for years, each very much aware of the other but keeping their distance. Now circumstances have thrown them together. It is obvious that there is a strong attraction there but they also hate eahc other. Or so they keep telling themselves.

    The authors did a great job of reeling you into their story and just when you think you have these two figured out - BAM - major twist! I did not see this first twist coming and I swear I had to shake my head in order to clear it and make sense of what I learned. But there are several twists in this story that are all very well done and frankly shocked me.

    Vendetta is filled with suspense, lust and sex, twists and turns and also a passionate but sad love story. I cried, I was on edge and 100% devoted to these two characters. I was so terrified of what would become of Devon and Leighton since R & J's story didn't end so well. This book has received mixed reviews, but I loved it with its perfect blend of sex and suspense. I definitely feel it is worth taking a risk on.
