Dorian's life started like so many others, happy and serene, but it changed the day his wolf puppy was accidentally killed at a presidential parade. His anger festered and as he grew up, it took on a life of its own. Every politician that day at the parade became responsible for the wolf's death and Dorian knew they had to pay. Years later, Dorian meets a mysterious girl named, Celeste, who teaches him how to seek and destroy those responsible, using the world of dreams. Once the vengeance has begun, two lawmen take on the task of bringing him down, but they don't know who he is or where to find him. Unknown to anyone, Dorian is stalked by a private investigator who utilizes the same techniques as Dorian himself. Obscured by a shady past, the strangers agenda weaves itself in and out of nightmarish intent and stone cold reality. As Dorians sanity plummets, his scope of retribution broadens to include any and all people that he believes are truly evil.

Dorians need for the return of his wolf puppy re-centers his moral compass, but it brings about a sentiment unknown to him since his childhood. With the return of compassion, his urge for death and destruction waxes and wains but it may already be too late. The law enforcement officers assigned to bring him to justice have the seemingly impossible task of tracking an unseen murderer on a killing spree that spans multiple continents and apparently multiple worlds. They find themselves in a reality in which dreams and nightmares go far beyond their wildest imaginations!

Vengeance of the Wolf By Solitaire Parke Politicians are being murdered one by one in mysterious ways that cannot be natural, for instance the man whose heart has stopped that could have been explained as a heart attack except for the fact every bone in his body has been broken. Detective John Yardley, an FBI agent, and Frank Williams are determined to put a stop to these murders at any cost, but when the killer enters into a man’s dreams how will they ever find out who is responsible? This is truly an original paranormal mystery, I had thought it would be scarier than it actually was but it leaned more towards the mystery side rather than the horror genre. All in all Solitaire Parke does a wonderful job bringing her scenes to life, drawing you into the nightmares of men and a bringing each instance to the forefront so vividly you will cringe. I just wish there had been more action, sometimes it can read rather slow but for the most part it is truly fascinating. With such a story line the novel is absolutely riveting; my favorite scene is when several vehicles run a woman over go around the block to do it again with the drivers having no control over themselves. I would give this one a try it may not be everyone’s cup of tea but it is so unique it is worth the read. I was sent a free copy of this book for an honest review.

I confess that it took me a little longer to read Vengeance of the Wolf than it generally takes me to read a novel. I read at bedtime, or when insomnia strikes. Vengeance of the Wolf is not a bedtime story. It is a deeply frightening tale with an eerie nightmarish quality weaving through it. I suggest if you are slightly more faint of heart as I am, that you read it in broad daylight, preferably with lots of people around. His characters are well drawn and believable, even though many of them are nothing short of horrifying. He has a skill with dialogue that allows you to “hear” the characters voices clearly. You will ask a new question with each page you turn and then ending will send shivers down you spine. Solitaire Parke has created a world so bizarre that it makes you wonder where else his mind could possibly travel. I look forward to more of his work... with all the lights on.

Fantasticly written! The creativity that went in to bringing Dorian to life, along with his method and talents is nothing short of brillant. It's one of those reads you finish very quickly and get impatiant for a follow up.I tip my hat to Mr. Parke and look forward to future work.

What a great book! This book is written similarly to the style of Bram Stoker's Dracula and doesn't lack for excitement! You follow along with the detectives as they are always one step behind the antagonist in a dead heat race to stop him from striking next! Dorian's strategy for attack is rather satirical in nature. The elaborate and startling scenes he creates and the dialogue between Dorian and his prey are clearly mocking them and showing his disdain for politics and the like. A must read!

This book was amazing to say the least. Solitaire Parke takes you on a supernatural thrill ride that follows the body count of one man Dorian, and his undeniable quest for revenge against those who wronged him. Reminiscent of the 1980’s flicks like Nightmare on Elm Street and Dreamscape, Dorian possesses the ability to enter a person’s dream and once there no one is safe for long. A definite page turner from beginning to end…

I really enjoyed this book. The main character Dorian, found ever more creative and chilling ways to do away with his victims through dreams. I found the characters to be engaging and the story line to be macabre. I have to say, that it gave me pause before I would go to sleep to imagine “what if”. If you like a good horror/thriller book than I believe that you will enjoy Vengeance of the Wolf.

Solitaire Parke is an exceptionally talented author who’s writing style is not only intelligent, but thought provoking. He has an ability to write dark fiction that chills readers to their very core with its stark realism and vastly unique portrayal of an otherworldly serial killer. This book will incite paranoia of a dream world way beyond that of your worst nightmares. Vengeance of the Wolf is a harrowing story of a man exacting revenge on those he’s deemed responsible for the loss of his beloved wolf puppy, killed many years before at a presidential parade. A fragile young boy was at that moment forever changed and the maniacal vendetta of a psychotic killer was created. What follows is a killing spree so brilliantly carried out, that it seems nearly unstoppable. Solitaire’s portrayal of Dorian, with his intense brutality and yet seemingly justifiable retaliation, leaves you almost rooting for the bad guy. The clever use of haunting nursery rhymes and chilling settings keep you entranced and unable to put it down. This is a must read for anyone who enjoys unrelenting suspense, the occasional bit of humor and a plot twist that undoubtedly paves the way for, we can only hope, a sequel.
