I have always loved this book and finally decided to buy it instead of borrowing the book from the library. B&N sent it quickly and my class of 4 and 5 year olds LOVED the story!
We love any book illustrated by Jane Chapman and this is no exception! My son saw himself in 'Little Mouse'--body wriggles, cold feet, and most importantly, the bedtime fears. Love this one!
This is a really great book. My three-year-old, who hates noises, loves this book. We borrowed it from the library. Now, I am going to buy it in paperback. Its a keeper!
My six year old and I fight over who gets to read this book and we read it at least once a week. The illustrations have lots of fun details so even younger kids would probably enjoy a verbal stroll through this book. I don't know any child who hasn't wondered about nighttime noises or wanted a reason to crawl into bed with the Big Mouse of their house, so they can relate to the plight of Little Mouse. Exhausted parents can see themselves in the adult mouse. It is a funny and enjoyable book. We love it.
