It was the surprise of a lifetime for recluse Molly McCreight when single dad Ethan Hunter entrusted her with his infant daughter while he delivered medicine to an elderly man during an ice storm. Past experience had taught Molly how fragile life could be, but she was touched by this stranger's faith in her abilities. Once the storm had passed, though, and her guests returned home, normalcy eluded Molly. The Hunters' presence had brought much-needed joy to her quiet world, but their absence threatened to crush her forever. Still, was she ready to admit that this tiny family held the key to the future she'd always secretly craved?

I usually don't read books like this, (I'm more of a fantasy/sci-fi reader) but I downloaded it because it was free and I thought pretty good reviews. I really enjoyed this book! It was EXTREMELY well written and the story was lovely. I loved the main characters and even though I am not a religious person, the strong Christian references did not bother me at all. I didn't feel like it was being forced on me, more that it was part of the characters lives and important to them and in that way essential to being part of the story. I would recommend it.

This was my first book to read on my Nook. It kept my attention and I was anxious to have more time to read so I could find out more of the story. My 14 year old niece read it in one weekend and is reading it a second time. It's a good clean book with a great story!

It is a wonderful story of being in the right place at the right time and how leaning on neighbors and family and friends makes ALL the difference.

I feel horrible having wasted my time on this book. Yes, it was free, but it was bad all around. I guess it's my fault because I didn't take the time to further investigate the book beforehand. I literally groaned out loud when I found it to be an out-there Christian romance. I think had more of an affair with God than the actual stereotypical "hunk" delivery man.
God forbid (pun intended) you waste your time on this horribly written, cliche' book.

This was the first book I downloaded when I got my nook color and I loved it!!! I found that I couldn't stop reading it. I was drawn in to what was going to happen with every turn of the page. I am very picky when it comes to authors and I am very skeptical to try new ones, but I can't wait to read another one of Linda Goonight's books.

I enjoyed the fact that the relationship between Ethan and Molly was like an old fashioned love story. Not too short, not too long and it was free!

Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged. This is a sweet story. It's a Christian romance, so if that's not your thing don't read it. Yes, there are several religious quotes/scenes and scripture in this book but I don't think it was "shoved down our throat." The characters are trying to live by their faith, but they aren't preachy about it. Anyway, it's a clean, wholesome romance and the story is very good. I thought Molly a bit dramatic with her phobia, but I suppose people with phobias do tend to be quite dramatic. Overall a good clean read suitable for any reader. And it's a free nookbook, so even better.

I loved how Ms. Goodnight brought the characters together in a slow but gentle manner. She portrayed that with faith on our side we can get through anything. the character were delightful and a very wonderful read. I could not put this book down.

I felt it was more about trying to get as much scripture out than about the story unfolding, causing the story to be stunted and forceful. Which was sad because the characters were fullbodied and intresting and yet she did nothing with them.

I was pleasantly surprised at how much I became attached to the main characters and quite pleased with Christian theme that was maintained throughout the story. Easy read that I was sorry to see come to an end. Will definitely look for more books by this author.

It really surprised me and I could not put it down. I fell in love with all the characters. It dealt with situations that I couldn't begin to think of. I loved the Christian aspect of the story and how through faith we can overcome anything. It was a quick and short read that left me satisfied but still wanting to read others this genre.

It was a very good story, and very touching. However, I didn't like being hit over the head with the Christian content. Perhaps if there was a proseletyzing-free version.
