About the Author

James Drummond (1835-1918) was a Unitarian scholar and theologian, born in Dublin. He served as a pastor for nine years, returning to teach at his alma mater, Manchester College, as it moved to Oxford, England. Drummond was an advocate for doctrinal freedom. His books include The Epistles of Paul, the Apostle, to the Thessalonians, Corinthians, Galatians, Romans, and Philippians; An Inquiry Into the Character and Authorship of the Fourth Gospel; Introduction to the Study of Theology; and The Life and Letters of James Martineau.
