This book has such wonderful photos of authentic clothes...bustle dresses, corsets, lingerie dresses, etc. etc. etc. Its an inspiration and a must if you make repros or if you collect (or both, as I do). Highly recommend.
I find this to be a very helpful general guide to women's clothing & accessories of this period. The text gives an overall view that is terse but accurate and the wonderful color photos with lots of detail shots are great for creating costumes and for i.d.ing collections.
